Good Idea! I also did an ebay search for you for the book and found one Used for sale for $75 (no bids yet). ;) I also say if you really really want it, get it.

Jewille, not at all, LOL. First hand accounts from the #1 top game-man and how he went about selective breeding, culling and temperments testing so as not to have man biters cannot be found anyhwere.

And just as a disclaimer.....In no way shapre or form do I support what went on in those days. However history is history and nothing has came about without a darkisde. I just wonder how he justified what he did and what his thinking process was and what his goal was.

I found a couple of copies in the United Kingdom - $61 (slight mark to page edges o/w virtually brand new) and $81.23 (new condition), but you would have to pay shipping to the U.S., of course.

In my breed, the coveted book is Veronica Tudor-Williams' book on basenjis.  There are 3 editions, all are out of print and sell for a pretty penny or two.  So they are hard to find.  However, I'm a book junkie and love to go to used book stores.  I found one at a large used book store years ago (and a couple of other basenji books).  It was $10 and autographed by the author.  I think I was shaking as I went up to the cashier; I felt like I was stealing it since at that time, value was closer to $70 w/o the autograph.  Boy, that was a good day. 

You can always get the book and sell it again.  Usually these books hold their value.

I paid $128.00 for a copy by Hawley on RRS It was a steal!!  After you read it you can donate it to an auction and get a heack of a tax right off :0)

 Check Powells.com.  It is a HUGE new/used booke store in Portland.  it covers and entire city block (no, I am NOT exaggerating!).  They often have better prices than other places.  Also check alibris.com.

Go for it!  I know lots of people who spend money for out of print books, nothing wrong with it if you can afford it and will enjoy it for a long time!
