I can't wait to see you all together !! What is his name to be???  I know his whelping box name was Jesse, are you going to keep that?? It is cute. What is the registered name??  I am really excited fo r all of you this is going to be an awesome summer for your family !

Hi Ladies,

No, I don't have any new pictures yet!  I do have some that the breeder sent about four weeks ago.  I'm attempting to post one now... not certain if it will work :)

Janet_rose - uhm, yes... lot's to read.  But I really appreciate and will take what I can get.  Those links were very thoughtful of you!

Bonita - He actually looks like a Jesse to me   I haven't thought about it too much because if I do change his name, it won't be for several months.  This summer really is going to be awesome, but alot of hard work!  I want to work with him as much as possible so that he can learn good doggie manners.  With a dog his size, it's important!

If this picture works, I do have one or two more I can post.  I can't wait to take my own though....

Ok... it appears to have worked.  Here's another pic.  Not sure of the size, it may be big.  Keep in mind these are breeder selections.  He loves to bring his toys onto Stephanie's (breeder) bed and play while she is in the room.  I love his long ears!:

 ETA:  I changed the pic because I posted the one with the "red eye".  I use flickr, so I was able to do a fix on it, though it looks a little dark now :)

Finally, here's a pic of him heeding the "come" command.  The breeder is working with him and taking him to obediance classes.  From what she says he may need extra socialization, so it will indeed be a busy summer :)  I love those ears just flopping around.  He seems to have a longer snout and tail than alot of RR's I've seen, which is great because I really like that look.  It would be nice if he had a ridge, but I don't care too much. 

I'm going to be posting in the about training and commands today or tomorrow. 

Did I read you wanted to try clicker training with Jesse???  Hmmmm I like bribery best, they'll do anything for treats and a sweet word  I love Zukes btw, tiny treats that are very motivational)  The only problem I have had with clicker training is I can't carry enough to throw at the dog.... 

There are some folks on RR-folk that clicker train... they swear by it.  I never figured it out I guess

Lol... I wasn't sure about clicker training a RR.  From everything that I've read about them, it seems like it will be a challenge.  I am signing up for a basic obediance class at Petsmart for 8 weeks.  I spoke with the trainer and she uses a clicker.  Soooooo.... I figure we will give it a go and see how it works.  Wish me luck :)

He's beautiful!  I'm sure he'll do great with the clicker training, I'm glad you enrolled him in an obedience class. I hope it's a great experience for you both!  Keep us updated!
