Mindless Chatter - Monday

    Mindless Chatter - Monday

Back to work for me! It feels like I haven't been there in months.

I'm feeling soooo much better now though. Just a tad bit of the tired/achy stuff and I still have some congestion but I can deal with that.

Lily took a chunk out of my foot with her nails this morning. They need trimmed badly!

I have a love/hate relationship with the cat and its desire to sleep near me every night. It's so sweet the way he wraps his front legs around my arm and rests his head on me to sleep, but I like to move around a lot and he gets in the way.

I am glad you are feeling better Jewlieee!!!

I, also, am back at work.  I have such a busy day today it's going to suck lol on top of the daily work the lawyer will give me I have to do a final accounting bill for a client.  This consists of me going through the entire file making sure every letter, document meeting phonecall etc. is picked up in the final bill and entered into the computer.  As well as every page of faxes and photocopies is calculated.  Now, it wouldn't such a difficult task if the file wasn't 8 boxes full.  I started this last week in amongst my usual work and I am still on the first box because this file started before I was here (in 1998) and NOTHING from 1998 - 2003 was picked up.  GAAAAAH!!!!!!!

But I have a tea and 5 lemon cranberry muffins lol mmmmm

Five muffins!? Holy cow, you're in for the long haul.

Grrr, when I left for my moms on Thursday, I did all the usual stuff - loaded and started the dishwasher, wiped off the counters, took the trash out, ect. When I got home this morning, there was stuff EVERYWHERE. Beer bottles, dishes in the sink (because the clean ones in the dishwasher weren't put away!) sticky unknown substance on the counters, crunchy stuff on the floor, AHH! Why is it so hard for my roommate to clean up after himself?! I left you a nice clean place, I expect to come back to one. I can't wait until he moves out. Is it May yet?

So in rebellion I let Pirate get out his noisy buster cube. Hahahahaha, he's banging it all over. Muahahahaha. Usually I put it away until a decent hour, but that's what you get!

Glad you're feeling better Jewlieeeeee. Tell Dakota her FL boyfriend is boarding this week at my work :) I will try to snap a piccie of him if I remember.

     Glad you're feeling better Julie.

Hmmm...what to do today?  Clean the house, while Tyler sits around being lazy...probably

He thinks he's having a poker party on Sunday, but if he doesn't help me out a bit around the house and yard, he's got another thing coming.

I made PB Chocolate Chip cookies the other day(yesterday? who knows they all run together these days), and they are sooooo good!  I have them sitting beside me in a big container, probably not a good idea.  They are cold right now, but yesterday I had them sitting in the window sill and they got all warm and melty...mmmmmmm.

The snow is really starting to melt out there.  I've gotta get out and move some more of the snowbank onto the road so it melts faster.  I always thought my dad was stupid when he did that.  I was such a kid.  LOL.  Now I'm a grownup and impatiant for the snow to be gone, despite the sad looks in my dog's eyes.

I'm seriously considering getting one of those bark deterrers for out by the kennel.  Onyx is really starting to get on my nerves.  She barks at the cats now, and I think they have gotten over confident in the fact that she can't get to them, so they are always around.  I wonder if it would work for her.  They have them at Home Hardware for like $50.  It looks like a birdhouse.  What do you guys think?

    I live for Mindless Chatter....

So yesterday I had big plans to vacuum out the car and then use my SpotBot handheld attachment to do upholstery cleaning on the seats and floors.  I vacuumed the passenger side and my vacuum starts making this low hum and smoke came out.  Great.  I REALLY need to clean the back seat b/c there's mud and bike grease all over it, but I can't SpotBot it without vacuuming it first (coated in dog hair, will clog SpotBot).  My vacuum is like 3 years old which is not bad, but I bought it as a refurb and I've used it a LOT (I vacuum like 2-3 times per week).  I'll try to fix it tonight but I can't even figure out how to get it open.  I think I have the manual somewhere...

I also need to rent a carpet cleaner.  I wonder how much that costs?  I'd rather do it myself b/c I'm a control freak and don't want to have to move my furniture and manage five animals with strangers cleaning the carpets.

Today is the one year mark of the day I officially adopted Kenya, though her "gotcha" date is July 27.

It was a cool morning and Bugsy was seriously happy - I mean he's always happy - but he was HUGELY happy.  We played frisbee for 20 minutes, then we ran 4 miles, he went in the lake, and then when we got home he got one of his toys that I sling for him and I'm like you are on your own so he did some crazy zoomies! Ah to have his energy!

Bunch of junk this week - not much interesting stuff on the horizon either - ah well no one said you had to enjoy life

Lies we rented a carpet cleaner when we moved in and I'm not sure it made anything cleaner - they are pretty well used if you catch my drift.  I bought a Hoover steam cleaner off Amazon I think for about $130 that is just great to have around.  Simple to use does a great job and when Bugsy had the poops it was a godsend.

    Have a great Monday all!

Didn't train Jada hardly at all this weekend, and her graduation is tonight.  HAHAHHA!  Oh well.  So much for trophies.  She's still a smart girl.  Wait... I may have to take that back.  We did a good amount of demolition this weekend, so BF took the shop vac out to clean it up.  Jada decided to take her mouth to the shop vac.  She kept repeatedly charging at the shop vac, getting her tongue sucked up it.  Then coming back for more.  I got it on video - at least a couple of seconds of it.  Gotta youtube it, I think.

    Silly Potato Head!

Edited to add - she was not injured when sucking on the hose of the shop vac.  Maybe just embarrassed!

Had a good weekend...until.  DH is starting to cook for passover sedar this weekend and he decided to make the horseradish, among other side sauces, pastes etc that can be done ahead of time.  If you have ever been in the same house as horseradish being made you will realize my discomfort.

M&M and I ended up going for a little hike to clear out our eyes.  Then we went to PF Chang's for dinner last night and I was very underwhelmed.  I'd heard so much about it but it seemed pretty average to me.  Oh well....

HA! I can't wait to see the video. I had the shop vac out too this weekend and Neiko was doing the same thing. He goes nuts over hose vacuums - regular vacuums don't bother him.

I just let the dogs run loose in the field behind my office. Lily - the super sniffing aussie - sniffed out a dead deer again and came running out of the woods with a leg bone in her mouth. And of course she rolled in it - A LOT. Phew. That dog is stinky.

    GROSS Lily. Gross.

My lips are so chapped and I forgot to bring my Burts Bees to class. It's the last week of actual classes so it's going to be pretty much useless. Stupid review stuff that I'd rather do on my own. I have to call sugar granny and ask her for $1000 for summer classes - eeech. My mom slipped and told me she's pretty sure sg has a 'trust' for each of us kids. I sure hope so because I've probably blown through mine.

LOL Pirate would probably get sucked up a shop-vac, he's so little. BF and I took him to Tijuana Flats with us for lunch and he didn't even bark at people!

I had the day off work today. Glad you were feeling better Julie!!! It was a beautiful day. I took Teddi for a walk this AM and then she had her 6 month follow up visit at MSU. She is doing GREAT! per Dr Desjardin. He said continue increasing her exercise, but keep low impact. He does not recommend frisbee or fetch as that involves running, stopping fast and quick turns. He did ok her returning to agility class but again cautioned us on the use of the contacts. He was concerned about some bone resorption she had between visits at 6 weeks and 12 weeks, but there was no change from 12 weeks to today, and her prosthesis has not moved at all. So YEAH TEDDI!!!!!!

Of course when I took her for her walk today, I let her be off leash at the park as long as she stayed near me, she did but she found...GOOSE POOP!!!! OH YEAH must roll in GOOSE POOP!!! Must be the day for dogs to be happy and stinky. I had some doggie wash cloths I cleaned Teddi up the best I could before we headed out to MSU.

I cant have donuts in the house because I will eat them till their all gone. That is my weakness. Donuts. Especially Krispy Cream donuts. Oh I must go buy some!!

My Lillie is going nuts. It's cold and rainy off and on so I cant exercise her. She isnt interested in toys so I cant "play" with her that way.
