Anyone else have Mario Kart for the Wii?

DH is going to get it when it comes out here.  I think it's a bit later than you get it (darn it I should pay attention when he talks :).  I am excited about it, it should be fun.

 You can race other people that have a Wii??? I never knew that! Dang! Now I wish I had a Wii.. BF and I just bought an Xbox 360. Waiting now for it to be delivered...

You can in the new Mario Kart game, yep.  Works over the wifi connection.

Fragile?  No, I wouldn't say so.  Our controllers work fine, the console works fine, the sensor is just sensitive enough.   

I wish I did have it, it sounds like a ton of fun!  I have Mario Kart for my Nintendo DS and old Game Cube, but I don't have a Wii.  When I get one, I'll definitely come looking for a race! 

Ours was delivered today.  We haven't played it yet.  Busy doing home improvements.  I am so proud of DH that he didn't take it out of the box and play it, but knuckled down to what needed doing.  He's obviouslyl getting old. 

The being able to play against others who have the console is dead nifty.  You can do that with some 360 games as well, I'm reasonably sure of it.

Kate I might challenge you to a game next week sometime.... if I can get NEAR the thing! 

I might take you up on it...haven't got ours yet and I will need to race a bit on my own to get a feel for it before I race against anyone. But keep me in mind!

LOL at the Wii being fragile. Nintendo KNOWS how to make things that last. Our first DS the original big heavy silver one JUST died after being in the hands of a 3-4y/o boy for over a year LOL. Before that we played it a ton.

Our Wii has been licked by a large dog, kicked by my son, and every controlled dropped and she still is working admirably.

SONY...IME is where you need to look for "fragile" stuff. My dh had to go thru 3 PSP's before he could find one without sticking buttons.

I've got an original DS as well. I just remember hearing somewhere that the Wii controllers were pretty fragile...

See! That's why I don't want a PSP.. Lol. 

Chuffy, sounds good!  And your DH is a sight more self-restrained than mine, I tell you.  He'd unwrapped in and put it into the Wii as soon as he got home today...as in, he hadn't even taken his coat off yet.

I'm not sure when it comes out in the US, it might not be out yet but should be soon if it isn't already.  The game comes with a steering wheel that you fit the controller into, so you really feel like you're driving.

DH is playing right now and cursing loudly at the TV.  LOL.

He spent most of yesterday afternoon on it, made us late for his cousins 18th birthday party and he was on it as soon as he was up and dressed today.  He is also swearing loudly.
