Cathy -- your friend may never be able to go home. If no one finds that thing, then it could be alive for weeks hiding somewhere in her house! The poor woman -- I can only imagine how freaked out she is.
I was happy to get a call from her last night and I could tell from the Caller ID that she was callng from home and not her cell. Her husband had gotten up yesterday morning, walked in the kitchen and stepped right on it. Fortunately, he had shoes on
. It was dead after that and he put it in a baggie and saved it as proof. She said she won't be walking around barefoot in the house for a very long time and will be keeping her eyes on the floor more than usual, but she sounded good and was glad to be back in her home.
