Tiny terrier saved kids from pit bulls

    Ummmm, guys?  Enough.[sm=backtotopic.gif]

George gave his life in defense of the kids, or in defense of himself and frankly I don't think he CARED what breed was doing the attacking.  He saw a threat and he reacted.

When we comment, and continue to comment on stuff like this that really pi$$es us off, guess what?  The offender wins.

Now, Ed, if this were my section there are a couple things I'd be editing in your post.  I think you can figure out what they are and maybe fix them?  You know, that old personal attack thing.....

Any one suspect that maybe the pit bulls were after the terrier to begin with? Dog aggressions is a common pit bull trait, human aggression is not. Why is it assumed that the pits were going after the kids?

It describes the personality of a Staffshire Terrier, otherwise known as a pit bull or in England, "The Nanny Dog."  Quite a difference of opinion.  The Staffshire Terrier is designed to love it's owner and hate other dogs.  You can take your conclusions about this story for there.  I've also heard this on Martha Stewart, I think.
    "Personality:
Extremely courageous. Intelligent and sometimes willful. Tenacious, impulsive, and agile. Very devoted to his family and so good with children that the Staffordshire Bull Terrier is known in England as "The Nanny Dog". "

A rather nice discussion has evolved from the death of poor George.  Could I suggest that we start a new thread to further discuss it?  I feel rather badly for the poor little dog who gave his life that the thread in his honor has gotten some ugly input.  But, maybe I just haven't had enough coffee yet this morning......................just a thot.

SSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE    thats what i was trying to tell you all about pitbulls ! they attack kids !

FYI: More kids are killed by their parents in ONE year than are killed by pit bulls or pit-type dogs in 20 years in the US.

    (Source: FBI crime stats.)

Similar stats here I think.... and something like you're more likely to be killed in an incident involving balloons or slippers than dogs.

    R.I.P. George [:(].

That's one brave dog, regardless of the situation.  He certainly deserves to be recognized for his courageous actions...
