It doesn't have to be raining for Teddi to get that way. Why is it we can take her for a LONG walk and she comes home with BOUNDLESS energy? We are still trying to control the Teddianapolis 500 but on Sunday AM we took the two Goldens for a walk, we put them in the back yard in case they needed to do "duties" before we brought them in house. Art puts them back there and "off they go", he watches for a moment then looks at me and says "one golden just jumped another golden". I can tell you right now, Max was NOT jumping Teddi.

There is NO mentally exhausting this dog. The more you do the more she wants to run. I don't have enough hours in the day.

I can't wait until we can unclip her leash and let her go!

I can take him, and he'd be fine here cuz I don't have kitchen towels. But...I'd have to send ya Nyx, because I can't have *more* dogs than i do now, and Nyx would certainly make ya appreciate Bugsy...There is no such thing as "enough exercise" in Nyx's world. I am amazed every time I see her sleep, as it simply isn't a natural occurence for her.

Morrison I think Bugsy would love to go to Woofdah with you and Monroe that sounds very fun!

Corgipower just because you don't have dish towels doesn't mean you will thwart his mischief, he will find something else, that is guaranteed.

I am thankful that he will go out in the rain but he doesn't get to do whatever it is he does out there on non-rainy days.  He is very good at keeping himself busy outside.  He literally spends hours out there everyday and you will not see him lying down.  He explores every inch of the garden, guards the cul-de-sac, chases/catches birds and squirrels, does zoomies around his own personal obstacle course, etc.

Inside you can actually see his wheels spinning like, "hmmmmmmm what should I do?"  Intellectually, training stimulates him so that does the opposite of what you would want in this case anyway.

Ann I haven't any idea how those of you with such young active dogs have been able to keep them under control.  You have my greatest admiration!

put him on a plane, i'll pick him up at the bluegrass airport tomorrow!

D'you suppose that he might bring my dishtowels to the kitchen since they seem to be located in all the other rooms thanks I'm sure to DD?

Oh yes he can find them wherever they might be and taunt you with them.  They will be undamaged but they will be stolen again.  LOL today while I was on a client call he got both of them and casually swung them in my line of sight.  He was gated OUT of the office so he just sat outside the gate with his precious towels - a regular comedian  Angel

Still no package?  Harumph I hate the waiting I want her to have it NOW! How did your appt go today?  What is DD?

Megan I'll book him a seat - I'm sure just what you need is another 100+lbs of dog!

Still nothing.  We keep checking.  Likely we'll have to go and pick it up cause the idiot mail lady knocks on the porch door that we can't even hear.  We'll be watching for the slip though.  DD is Kali, Dear Daughter...sorry, habit from my pregnancy forum.

OMG OMG OMG OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I get to have Logan  Big Smile   Too bad I know you're not serious

Logan my little man, eating cell phones = BAD!  What you want to do is just gently steal it when no one is looking,  then show everyone what you have, this is especially effective with high value items like cell phones and remotes.  Ha! then once they realize what you have, they will want it, so you run away as fast as you can.  Leap over couches as necessary.  The look on their faces is priceless.  Then when the game is a bit old for you because, well they ain't ever gonna catch ya, just drop the item, let it just fall out of your mouth and look at them like - "wow I have no idea how that got in my mouth, bleh tastes terrible" Then smile.  This is more satisfying than destroying the said item and no one gets too upset Big Smile

    love, Uncle Bugsy

Why would you think I wasn't serious?  Come get this dog! lol

Logan, listen to your uncle.  JUST DON'T SLOBBER ON THE PHONE!!

    Hey Unc B,

I love chewing. I chew and chew and chew everything, cause I love it.  I lick it first and carry it around to show everyone what I have, I am very happy when i have something to chew. I like sticks.  Sticks are fun to chew.  I like leather. I like cel phones. My grandma (mama calls her "the breeder";) said there's a weimaraner conspiracy to destroy phones. 'parrently my bruther did it, too.  but it was in leather. i love leather.  i chewed moms shoes with the leathers. i knew it was bad, but i had to chew. they tasted good! mama was mad.  she gets mad when i chewed up leather. leather is very 'spensive.  I don't know what that means.

she says i may come to live with you unc b.  I hope you will play all the time. cause i play all the time. i like to get up early in the morningz-time and like to eat a lot.  and run. and play.  i like sticks.

    (LICKS AND FLEA BITES)

    Lo

    Logan,

How I remember the days of my youth.  Yes chewing is extraordinary, there is nothing quite like it.  I chewed voraciously oh until I was about 18 mos or so.  But see, listen to the voice of experience, chewing your human's leather is bad.  I know, I know it feels oh so good, but its bad I tell ya.  Sticks are great I like to chew sticks while on my walk, sure I get some strange looks when I'm dragging around a 6ft branch - but hey how could THEY know how good it is.  Pine cones are soo crispy too.

Anyway I've cleared it with my humans you can come live with me.  I too get up early and am ready for the day.  It would be my dream come true to have another dog here to play with all day.  I have plotted out various obstacle courses in my yard and we can try to out zoom each other I do this everyday on my own but it'd be better with you nephew. And now worries I eat well Big Smile

    love ya

Uncle Bugs  (PS we will look great together I have the same orange collar)

Lani that picture should be published - great subject but what talent!!  In all seriousness Bugsy obsessively chewed way past when teething should have been done.  He didn't however chew things we didn't give him to chew - just lucky with that.  I tried toy after toy and nothing lasted.  Black kongs where the only thing that I would get about a month out of and then he would just chew the bottom section off.  I also still use rawhide as nothing else lasts, I buy 10" tightly wrapped retrievers. He loves the chewing so much I don't have to worry about choking and he has not had adverse digestive effects.  I have used those giant rubber tires too although I had to teach him to leave the pieces.  Bugsy wants to chew to destruction so something like the Westpaw Hurley is a favorite in the house but not as a chew.  No other suggestions to help.  He's what about 8 mos now there is a lot of chewing ahead Indifferent

This thread is hilarious! DH and I have been reading it from the start. I wish I could say I take Bugsy, but I know I'll get crazy with the kitchen towells thing... so, no Bugsy for me Crying

What I could do is to send you some calm from Thor. He is the ultimate couch potatoe inside the house, of course with a laaaarge walk and a play session with his toys every day.
