    Lunar Eclipse Tonight!!

I had no idea until I saw this news story online, but for any one else that might be interested, here's the link. It says that the majority of Europe and the U.S. should be able to view the eclipse tonight! Cool!!

I got an e-mail about that yesterday. Pretty cool, but I think I'll have to drive somewhere if I want to see it. It looks like the moon's gonna be pretty low in the sky here during totality, too low to see from my house with all the other houses and crap around. Anyone have a ladder they want to lend me so I can get on my roof? Big Smile

sweet - if the clouds would clear out by tonight, I should have a great view.  Thanks for sharing the info!

It's supposed to be clear here tonight (which means -20 degrees).

Oh, CLOUDS!!! LOL! I'm so used to having a clear sky that I forgot it was horribly cloudy today, and will probably be cloudy tonight. Grrrrr... what're the chances it'll be clear by tonight...

It will be 48 degrees here tonight..but if the clouds clear up I'm going to try to shoot it.

I didn't get to see it.  It was cloudy & raining. Sad

Watching it now off and on....we are about 40 minutes away from total eclipse where we are and it's 9:25. I can't believe that all of the snow clouds have cleared and we can see it. We got 1 to 2 feet of snow between last night and today.

I've seen parts before... it's always really cool. I wish I could have seen it tonight =/

It was all nice and clear when I came home from class.... then it got cloudy

Just snapped some pics w/ my new camera.  I used a tripod and used a low ISO, but still some blurring, blech.  I REALLY need a remote shutter release.  I think I'll have blurring no matter how careful I am, if I still have to press the button.  Oh well, I like them just the same.  I think we were still in the car when the total eclipse happened.

The shots look really good Liesje!  Have you tried using a timer for shots like that?  Then you don't have to press the button and shake the camera?

I wanted to watch, but of course fell asleep :(
