    Mindless Chatter - Wed

Yesterday was an insanely busy day at work. Today will be more of the same.

I tested Lily last night by leaving her crate door open. She jumped on me at 5 am all wiggly and excited for the new day. Little did she know that the new day doesn't start until 7am! Nothing like having a 40 lb dog surprise you out of a deep sleep like that. Luckily she listened and got off the bed and went back in her crate.....until 6 am when she did it all over again! ugh. Finally I called her up on the bed at 7am for some cuddle time before getting up for good. Hopefully she'll learn the routine quickly.

LOL, Luna does the same thing, but is getting better about waiting until 6:30 or so. It's so dear to be woken up to that happy, wiggly, Aussie face smiling and excited to start the day. Except for mornings like today, where I fell asleep at 3 AM because I have so kind of flu coming on...

I wish I could stay in bed all day, but I have too much work to get done.

busy here too.  No fun stuff either.

Lily don't take a page out of Bugsy's book, have a lie in, relax, wait for the 7 am cuddle!  That is why we put the baby gate across the room he sleeps in - he just cannot have it open and not wake us up at ungodly hours, several times a night.  If the gate is up he will just calmly wait in his 'den' until we remove it.  Then he grabs his red rubber bones and flies down the hall wiggling and wagging that wip like tail into the walls door jams and you.  Game on!

DH is complaining miserably about being back at work full time.  I can tell he won't do this for long Sad   I understand as it is more than he wants or needs but if he sticks it out for a while he will make the connections necessary to have a successful consultancy.  Fingers crossed as he ain't tolerant.

Don't want to do the morning walk today.....................

My two young Westies like to wake me up bright and early--well sometimes dark and early.  I can't blame them, though, because on the days I go to work I have to be up by 5:00 at the latest.  So, I guess their little clocks are used to going off at that time.  I can atleast get them to lay back down for a little while now when I am off.

The sun is shining bright here in GA.  It is easy to see that Spring is on the way--yay.  I hope everybody has a really good day!

So much for my diet.  I'm eating a bagel and 12 oz of hot chocolate.  Screw you, diet.

You go Liesje! There is always tomorrow to get back on the wagon, LOL. I had fruit, yogurt, and whole-grain toast for you, so you can have my bagel and hot chocolate today ;)

I'm going to take Pirate to the park and go for a looooong walk. He loves the park, since there are DUCKS. And sometimes TURTLES. That crazy dog loves wildlife.

BF has been reeeeally clingy this morning. He snuggled up to me all night and then this morning he didn't want me to get up. I don't think he feels well because he's usually not like that.

Liesje, I have a cheat day once a week.  On Tuesdays after I have gone to Weight Watchers and weigh in for the week, I go and eat whatever I want.  My motto is if I don't do well for one meal, I will get back on track for the next.  Not the next day, but the next meal.

I had to go to the Dr yesterday and worked a little late yesterday to make up time and to finish printing people's 1099's so I could jump into to tax returns today.  I am really excited to work on tax returns.  If I didn't love them then I would hate my job and the long hours it requires this time of year.  Well, I of course have a big stack of "other stuff" to work on today when I get in.  I may just work on returns today anyway and do the other stuff tomorrow.

I am meeting some friends for dinner tonight which I am really looking forward to.  Then tomorrow night I am going to supper club.  Then this weekend I have a baby shower and a birthday brunch for my dad.  Plus my cousin is coming to town which means we will eat out somewhere I probably won't be able to order something healthy.  It is a good thing I had a good weight loss last week b/c it is going to be really hard to have one this week with all of the eating events going on!

ETA: I was supposed to post my chicken soup recipe and I forgot.  I will try to remember to send it to you this weekend sometime.  It is really easy b/c most of it is canned or frozen so it does't require a whole lot of work and it freezes well too!  I am actually working on a cookbook of low calorie easy recipes for my brother and his soon to be bride that is moving here from China.  My brother is trying really hard to get out of debt as well as lose weight and she has never cooked b/f really b/c in China the mother takes care of them until they leave the house.  I will actually post some others too for you once I get them all typed up.  I will order one of the cookbooks for myself too so I have all of my favorite recipes in one place!

My cousin's girlfriend got hooked on flavored water, so I've only drank that the last 2 days.  I was skeptical at first b/c most of the ones I see have a bunch of sugar and calories in it which makes me wonder what the point of drinking water is.  This stuff is great tho b/c it has no caffine, calories, sodium, or sugar.  It is carbonated though...I think I might have read somewhere that the carbonation makes it harder to lose weight?  I'm not sure.  But I really like it b/c there are a lot of flavor choices and I get bored quick.

I gave up donuts for lent.  Right now I'm sitting at my desk feeling very hungry and just down the hall are 5 boxes of free donuts.  And they're from Krumpe's who makes, hands down, the *best* donuts ever.  There a small local place and I *love* them.  (Sigh...is it any wonder I look like I do?)  So I'm resisting....Crying

I do get a good lunch today though, I'm excited.  DH got up early this AM and made me speghetti and meatballs so that I wouldn't have to take a microwave meal in today.  Yay!

BooneyJean, that's the kind of cookbook I need!  I'm not a big fan of cooking so easy to make is right up my alley....and low calorie would deffinately be a good thing.  Maybe I could order one from you when you get them done?

I have no motivation to do anything today.... which is not a good thing. I have to finish up, and deliver, a speech, and write another essay. Plus two lab reports... since I put them both off last time....

Poor Casey hasn't been to the park in forever. I wanted to go today, but it's kinda chilly outside, and I think I might be coming down with something.

ok...that's enough of my whinning today.... =/

     stress level is rising

I have about 14 books to read and take in by yesterday.  I don't know where to start so a quick post here

sometimes I so wish I was going in to an office and being told what to do Huh?

I have a gyn appt tomorrow morning with an "official" weigh-in, so I'll just fast until tomorrow afternoon!  I have to go straight to training from work so I don't have time to eat dinner even if I wanted to.

I bought a new domain and I'm trying to make myself a more professional website.  Of course even though it's very professional and SIMPLE, nothing is going right.  I have a love-hate relationship with my computer software...

My brain is fried. I'm absolutely useless right now. Today was too much for my little brain to handle. But I got some tough stuff done and everyone is happy so it's all good. Now I just need some decompression time. I wish it weren't 10 degrees out. I think I'll take the dogs to the park anyway.

question of the day: Why do people throw trash in the back of my truck?!

Is it green like a recycling bin?  lol - kidding.  We're on a corner lot and get tons of trash in our yard from people walking by, or it just blowing around.  That's beyond obnoxious - sorry for your troubles!

I need to make brownies and bring them over to my BF's step-mom.  She is recovering from surgery today.  Means more puppy and horse time.  (But I have to get the dogs trained first.)  oye - time flies when you are slacking off!

Do they throw trash in your truck when it's in your driveway?  If so, that's really strange.  Maybe if you had left it out in a field, or something, but...people do weird things.

I'm glad that I was good today with my "maintenance" (I've stopped calling it a diet, as diet is an evil word).  I wasn't able to go to my personal training appt. tonight because I injured my foot.  By rolling over it.  In my roll-y chair at the computer.  :::rolls eyes at self:::.  Think wrapping your foot underneath the chair leg and wheels, and then forgetting it's under there when you push back at warp speed to stop your dog from eating rabbit poop.  Ouch *sigh*.  I'm trying to laugh it off, but it's gotten pretty bad (I rolled over it a few days ago).  There's a REALLY uncomfortable grinding sensation in it, and it's causing a lot of pain, so I'm going in for an appt. with the doctor tomorrow morning.

By the way, karma's..impolite.  I'm terrified of doctors, but am incredibly accident prone.  Grr.
