I agree with Gina. Also, what really helped me was iced licorice tea - Stash makes a nice licorice spice tea that can be very soothing for the throat.

I remember mine hurt so badly I was on the verge of tears every time I tried to eat , but the antibiotics seemed to take care of it fairly quickly and then it was just a matter of waiting for the delicate tissue to heal.

Yes the worst part is DEFINITELY not being able to eat. Y'all know how I like my junk food....torture!

It really is pretty serious throat pain! I hope it does start to feel better soon! I get a sore throat every time I get sick (post nasal drip) but this is like nothing I've ever felt before. Im miserable! I was crying this morning because I thought it was so disgusting that the white patches were all over, and because of the pain!

I have some "throat comfort" tea that Ill use... maybe ill try icing it, but the doctor advised me to stay away from cold drinks.

 Yeah, I found "cool" but not "cold" was the way to go. Just slightly below room temperature. I get sore throats all the frickin' time, too.

Feel free to vent and whine as much as you want, I know I felt silly because it was "just a sore throat" but MAN... you are entitled to whine and moan as much as you want! Strep is no joke!

Get your hubby to buy you some of this at the grocery store - Stash licorice tea It's quite the miracle worker! Something about the licorice gives a nice soothing sort of coated feeling.

There's a spray that you can buy (can't remember the name but it might be Cepacol). I used it when I was younger and had some really severe cases of strep and it helps almost instantly.  It doesn't last a super long time, but it makes it possible to eat and it's nice just get some relief. I think gargling with warm salt water might help too but I'm sure.  Hope you feel better soon.

I recently got a Neti pot to help with the post nasal drip. You should look into it if you always have sore throats too... unfortunately, I got it right in the middle of this strep incident, and it won't help with a bacterial infection, but Im hoping itll do good things for me in the future.

 I never had strep *knocks on wood* but I hate normal sore throats and think they are the worst thing that you can get while being sick sooo, I hope you get better soon!!

Yeah I was asking you lol. Taurus rules the neck and throat and I am a Taurus and get frequent sore throats and lose my voice pretty readily so I always ask LOL. I told ya it was weird! But Aries rules the head, with the Bull right below him, and it's interesting about your birthdate!
