I do not know about this...
    it is fun but....
Our Kurgan is 12 yrs old now and this thing says he is 50.7 and 20.3 years younger than the average for his breed...
I must have screwed something up! LOL!
I think the program was thrown because he is not fat...A 12 yr old Beagle who is not fat???
    DOES NOT COMPUTE!
    DOES NOT COMPUTE!
    LOL!

It looks like they calc it in human years.  I had to laugh at the definition of a premium or super premium food according to their sponsors.  We lost "points" because of incomplete vax's (I just checked the biggies, not sure about all of them) and diet.  She is on a raw diet, I'll take my chances with that over their "premium" dog chow.  [:D]  But she did come in lower than average.

Well Maggie is about 35 human years and since she's going on 8 years old, that sounds pretty good to me. She 15 years younger than other dogs her age (56 human).

Other than the food thing I'd say it's not a bad little test.

"Tojo's DogAge is 11.5! That's 4.5 years younger than the average DogAge for Tojo's breed."

Well done, Tojo. You're pretty darn healthy!

That is a fun little test[:)]  It said Bog is only 18 yrs old....7.8yrs younger then the average.  I feel like such a good mom!  [8D]  Thanks for the site!

It's more of a market survey than anything. They're trying to get your info to find out your shopping/eating habit of your dog. All of the typical market survey questions are there - your age, your zip code, how often do you buy their food, etc.

The test said that lulu was 3.7 years younger then the average but i didnt like the test overall. I feed my dog some homemade food as well as her reccomended daily feeding amount of Canidai. The test didnt like that. Lulu is really skinny for a bloodhound so the vet told me that she needed more protein and calories into her diet so that is what i have done with the homemade food. And i LOVED their list of super premium dog food. Maybe those dog foods are a little better then some other foods out there but never would i consider them super premium. oh well just another marketing ploy so glad i didnt put my real email address in the form. Wouldnt want any adds from pedigree

Yeah, all of my dogs lost alot of points because they "may not recieve proper nutrition." Shame on me, for feeding them people food. [8|]

Aside from the clear marketing angle (lol at their definition of super-premium: if Iams is super-premium then what's Natural Balance?!?)...

Conrad came up at 34.7 (his real age is 6) and Marlowe at 14.2 (he's 3), and both lower than average for their breeds.

Did you guys see where on the other stuff the dogs eat/chew on it lists "cooked real beef or pork bones"!?!? But no check box for raw bones! WTF!

Yup that was cool!  Shame on me for feeding them homecooked!  And there is a smoker in the house, bad points there. But Baby is 6 and she is 30.8years 5.6 years younger than others in her breed.  Rex is 2 and that makes him 11.3 yrs. and 4.7 years younger for him because we walk him with a leash!  We let Baby walk free, that made a difference.  Anyway, it still was fun!

I did this test a while back when I htought Max was older then he really is. It told me then that he was 19 something and about 7 years younger then the average. Here's what I got this time using his more correct age.

    Max's DogAge is 12.6!
That's 5.2 years younger than the average DogAge for Max's breed.

I think that's pretty good. I also agree that the test is very biased, but overall it's a fun little thing to do.

    DUH, PURINA.

Ella is 6.4 years younger than the average pit bull.

Apparently I haven't shot enough vaccinations into her and belting her in a seatbelt in the car isn't "safe" enough. She's apparently underweight (though their pics did not A.) have her breed and B.) didn't have the proper size definitions.)
They didn't have an option for not having a fenced in yard, but having a house big enough with a basement that she can run downstairs and we play ball with her all the time.
Other than that, Purina thinks I'm a good caretaker.

    THANK YOU, PURINA.
But I still won't feed your food.
