    PEACHES [Mini Aussie] *UPDATE*

I would like to show off the newest family member of mine!!

"Peaches" Miniature Australian Shepard. It is my brother's new dog (aka Kayla's new cousin!!) We will be going down to Florida in June to visit! :o)

view below another post with MORE pictures!

Peaches lives on Little Gasparilla Island in South West Florida with my Mom, Step-Dad, and Brother

The pictures were taken at the breeder's house

Cute dog, but I have to say I'm a little shocked that someone who claims they are huge advocate for getting rid of irresponsible breeding practices and puppy mills would be excited their brother bought a designer dog.

WELL if you were around for other threads... you'd see that I wasn't happy she was getting a "Mini"

I was told that I shouldn't be too concerned since Mini Aussies have been around for over 40 years now.

My Mom could care less about all the drama and Peaches really did seem like "fate" for them and I totally support it.

Hopefully my 14yr old 45lb Sheltie down there won't be too jealous! Bless her heart she is resting at deaths door and I hating thinking about it... As do they. I know the new puppy will help them cope. It is very hard to watch "Meeko" in her current state. They were hesitant at first because they didn't want to "replace" her... but Peaches was such fate.

My brother was over his friends house about three months ago and they got a new Mini Aussie named "Malibu Breeze". He told my mom about it and he said "I want that type of dog next! If we get the some colors I want to name her Peaches!" Once my mom was convinced it was time to find a new puppy they did lots online searching and found low and behold... PEACHES! After researching the breed an talking to other breeders they decided to just take the long drive up to visit Peaches. My Mom called me on the drive home telling me how wonderful she was and they put the money down and they feel it is so right! I am so happy for them and for my new little niece!

She is a cute one!  I don't know what it is though, blue-eyed dogs freak me out!!  I cannot look into their eyes for some reason!  Peaches is a doll though!  How big will she get?

WELL the breeder said most of her dogs stay around 20-25lbs. I told my Mom don't get your hopes up! But she knows... I grew up with a Sheltie that was suppose to be 15-20lbs... yeah she turned out to be 45lbs!!!! So we shall see :o) People on the forum told me these dogs have been around for over 40yrs now so I have faith she'll maintain a good size since this breeder seems awesome.

Ok, so how can the breeder be awsome if they are breeding a non-standard aussie on purpose? Didn't you just have a thread how you hated that and thought it should stop? Seriously, not to rain on your parade, as someone who you just insulted about having a nonstandard dog, I'm having a hard time not seeing hypocracy.

**EDITED** - Personal Attack  Rain on my parade? That would be an under statement
Mini's are a recognized breed for over 40yrs now... I was mad at first about it and talked to people on the forum about it and many people told me not to worry its not anything like the Poodle-Mix craze, etc.

Second off it's not my dog... I am happy to see my family happy with such a wonderful pup! She has an awesome temperament, IS the correct standard for a Mini Aussie, and the breeder seemed wonderful and really eager to help better the breed.

LOL, WOWZA! Yeah, I really would like a designer breed. Who exactly recognizes the breed?
