Alison why did you have to post that site!!!! I am in love with all of those dogs now. Also it says sone of them (I think the name was "Suma")died, I am wondering how he died?

I check PetFinder daily b/c I volunteer at a shelter and like to know about the new dogs before I get there.  My avatar is one of our adopted dogs, Apollo.  It's from his PetFinder photo.

I've been on vacation and apparently we've got young ACDs.   ACDs are really growing on me, though I'll probably never get one unless I have work for it

They are all pretty close to me in Michigan, except Pilot who is in Kentucky.

Today I sent an application to the Michigan German Shepherd Rescue.  Keeping my fingers crossed...

I am constantly looking at this site.  It's not petfinder though, hope that counts.  She was listed April 23 2004.  It'll be three years that she's been available this April.  She just yanks on my heart strings.

This reminded my of a guy in Portland who is a professional photographer and donates his time to take pictures at a particular shelter in Portland.  He is an amazing artist and captures the personalities of all the dogs.  And if you commision him to take pictures of your pets he donates $100 to the shelter.  How awesome is that!  I wish there were more people in the world like that.

A few weeks ago my wife convinced me to give her the money to adopt Robey. He's a 15 month old black chihuahua. He is cute, friendly and very affectionate. I don't want to give him away but I have a problem. I already have 3 other dogs. Two are chihuahuas which he gets along with well but it's my pomerainian who does not get along with him at all. She gets along with my other chihuahuas because she's grown up with them since she was a baby but she is not trying to give Robey any chance to be part of the family. I have his vaccination papers on hand. My wife paid a $500 adoption fee for him and is willing to take the loss of what she put in but I'd like to get back what I paid $400 since I encouraged her to not adopt him in the first place. I will not consider anything under $300. For that I'd rather give it to someone around my way who's offered to pay me what I'm asking for in two installments. If you're interested feel free to reply. I'm located uptown in the Bronx but can travel to you.

He's being fostered by my local rescue organization. I LOVE THIS DOG.
I met him in Petco a few weeks ago and I walked him around and played with him. We worked on walk on leash and we said "hi" to everyone. He is a DOLL.
Since I'll be helping my local rescue with fundraisers and making leashes for them, I'll be getting to spend more time (hopefully) with Pinkerton.
He has got the CUTEST ears and he's a lovebug! He's VERY attached to his foster mom.

I'm pretty sure he's not the mix they're saying he is, but he is...if I had to guess, I'd say anywhere from MAYBE 30-35 lbs.

Jen, Marvin is on Petraits site, did you see him.  Sheri from Petraits is really great to work with and has an amazing talent to get the dogs to pose.
