Is it wrong to make fun of a dog's appearance? (Better???)

I guess I really don't get why those of us who didn't find it OK are bad guys?

I'll admit, when I first saw the (original) title, I was peeved.  I even said to DH how can ANYONE think it would be ok, I mean those poor dogs in those places, etc?  Then I opened it and while the pic was 1/2 loaded (you could really only see his head, I thought, well he's not that weird looking....then the rest of the pic loaded and I did laugh *ducks the rocks * He IS funny looking...AND cute.  Sometimes genetics works that way....there was beagle/basset mix that used to come into Petsmart and he had basset front legs and beagle back legs.  You couldn't help but grin at the little guy.

Basically, I'm just trying to say that before I realized what the thread was really about I was mad.  Then I realized I misunderstood the intent.  I think the new title really helps that.  I also don't see having a giggle as 'making fun' I usually think of that phrase as being cruel and I don't think anyone (here) is trying to be cruel to this cutie.  JMO

The original photo is gone...so I can only comment on the description...the dog sounds like one of those odd looking canines who'd cause a chuckle or raised eyebrow in some, strolling at the end of a lead or on a webpage.

Given the title of the post has been changed to help out those who were put off by it...and given the fact that the OP is about as far from a cruel natured person as is possible to be...I'll say that humor is relative and I laugh at things you'd not find funny and likely vice versa.

I'd always hope "bad guy, good guy" esp when it comes to a dog's photo, need not enter into a discussion amongst dog lovers...because one thing that is a given here is that we all love dogs. As far as I am concerned that makes us all good guys.
