A sleigh ride with Dena & Keefer-professional pics!

We took the dogs in for their annual holiday pics, and the photographer has outdone herself! Look what we got:

OMG! Best yet! I love them! #3 and #5 are my faves. You're fortunate to have such a great photographer! Beautiful babes!

Good lord your dogs are posable! Mine would never in a million years sit still like that in a strange place!

Carla, I had a hard time deciding which are my favs, but I think I agree with you!  This woman is a pro - the appointments are only 5 minutes, but we took a bit longer, still we were in and out in 15 minutes or less.

Houndlove, too funny! My dogs are VERY spirited, lol! They have a good time EVERYWHERE! Dena was a bit stressed at one point when she jumped up on the upper seat, but she was facing Tom, who was at the far side of the sleigh, rather than the photographer. He had to manhandle her a bit to get her turned around without jumping back off the seat, and that freaked her out. She perked right up when the photographer held a squeaky toy above her head. Wink

Keefer was less cooperative - we tried luring him up the steps into the sleigh with food, but he saw the steps as an obstacle to circumvent in order to get at the food. Then we tried to get him to jump up from the other side, but he's big enough to put his front paws up and eat the treats so he didn't get the point. Finally Tom moved the steps and picked him up and plunked him in. He's crouched down on the far side of the sleigh in the last two pics with his hand on Keefer's back, she just edited him out. The assistant is on the other side of the sleigh holding Dena's slip lead.

They're both really used to holding a position with eye contact to get something - bully sticks, balls thrown, permission to eat meals, etc, so once they were in place it wasn't that hard keeping them there. I was standing behind and to the left of the photographer with a "stay" signal and a chicken strip in my hand.  Big Smile

Those are lovely!! I love the ones with them sitting in the sleigh. Can you put in different backgrounds at all?

Nice! All of these Christmas doggy pics makes me want to get my own dogs pics taken professionally.

Do you mean did they have different "sets" to pose the dogs in? If so - no, that was the only one. I'm not sure what they did with smaller dogs, either put them on the upper seat I guess, or the people could choose to be in the pic also, and hold their dog on their lap. I don't know if we could have gotten both of us in the sleigh with the dogs, maybe with one dog, but still we weren't dressed for it. Tom was wearing a grey Raiders teeshirt and I had on a bright blue fleece pullover so we would have clashed horrribly, lol!

Wow, those are awesome pictures! You have really beautiful dogs!

Lovely!  What pretty pictures... and well behaved dogs. They all look great, but I looove the last one! :)

They're not THAT well behaved, lol! But they are very accustomed to being in new places. They've been to music festivals, street fairs, hotel rooms, wineries, and brewpubs, and are at off leash parks every weekend around tons of strange dogs, even cows and the occasional horse, so they don't stress out easily. They're big and active and have their wild rambunctious moments, but they're a lot of fun too!

The photographer did a great job but she did have amazingly beautiful subjects to work with Big Smile
