I Found JEANS!!! No more butt crack for me!

A while back, there was a thread started about being tired of seeing butt crack, etc.  The conversation went to jeans and their styles and quite a few of here seemed to have problems w/ finding jeans that fit good!  Well, for those who didn't like those jeans that had spandex or lycra in them (like me), because they would get baggy after awhile and you would spend most of the time while wearing them, pulling them up.  Yeah, you can wear a belt, if you can find a belt that fits with the 'low cut'.  But I just wanted to say for those girls out there who were looking for 100% cotton jeans!  I found them at American Eagle Outfitters.  They carried both, 100% cotton and those w/ some spandex, so I'm happy to say....I found them, they are out there, and I don't have to keep pulling my pants up anymore!  I can also, where a belt w/ them, and the belt isn't resting against my stomach, they stay w/ the jeans!   Yipppeeee!!!!

Hmm never been in that store. Do th sizes run 2/4/6 or can you get Jrs sizes too 3/5/7?

Congrats on your jeans find! A good fit is soooo important. My jeans are from AE too. I have the boyfriend cut stretch jeans (the ones that have like 2% spandex). I do spend a lot of time pulling them up, but they're pretty comfortable other than that- definitely moreso that any other jeans I've worn. The cotton ones sound awesome!

Good question, I'm not really sure.  I went in, a girl walked up to me and asked if she could help, I said, I hope so, I need 100% jeans, she asked me my size , I guessed (sz. 8), she took me to the jeans, I tried them on, they fit, I bought, signed up for their program which entails, if you buy stuff from their store you accumulate points which then you can earn 10,20,30,& 40% off of future purchases, plus receive coupons and offers via e-mail, or mail, and that was it!  Just the way I love to shop, in & out, no fuss!

Yea, if you don't have a store near you, they are on the web, and they seem to run close to size.  I'm 5' 7" and weigh about 135, so the size 8's fit good, and I got the regular length, which still were long enough with 2" boots.  NOT TOO SHABBY!!

There's something so satisfying about finding pants that fit! I was off today and went to a mall I've never been to before - TONS of great stores, and only about a half hour away. I bought 4 pairs of pants, two pair of Levi's in new (to me) styles, a pair of black jeans, and a pair of cords. Yahoo!!!! I have such a hard time buying pants because I have a really short (and unfortunately WIDE) torso and really long legs, so while my butt is an 8, my waist is a 12. All the pants I bought look great on me, and one of them was even a size 6, which I haven't worn in since I can remember. What a rush!

I just bought some Levis in size 4, regular length. I got home and decided that they really didn't seem long enough for wearing with boots. Actually they're perfect right now and they're prewashed, but I know that they'll still shrink in length and I hate, hate, hate short pants. So, I went on the Levis website and they only make them in short to regular length for size 4. Why is that? I'm 5'6", so it's not like I'm mega-tall. I just don't get it Angry

Cathy, do a search on the style - I found a great website, www.denimexpress.com. I bought some jeans off the Levis website a while ago for around $45.00 a pair, and deminexpress had them for less than $30 a pair. I hate short pants too, having long legs sounds great until you try to buy pants and then they're a curse! What I found on the Levis website is that not all size/length configurations are available from THEM, but you can often find them somewhere else. Regular length is fine for me with flat shoes or in the summer with sandals, but with boots or shoes with heels I need a long length.

    Google is your friend!

Cathy, I'm 5'7" and have the same problem.  It seems like my pants fit at first, but then get too short!  And I don't dry them full cycle either (I either don't dry at all, or dry for half the cycle and then line dry).

My favorite pair of jeans which I had for 5 years (you know, the kind that basically grow with you!) "died" a few months ago (I could deal with a hole in the knee, but a hole in the butt?) and I'm still mourning my loss.  I did find a nice pair of quite simple, dark wash boot cut jeans which fit well, but....they just aren't the same :(

I love the SO brand, sold at Kohl's here. I have horribly long legs, and I'm very skinny... so finding pants to fit is really hard for me!

AE does have juniors sizes, I think that's all they have. Their stuff doesn't really fit me right.... *sigh* and it's really cute too.....

thanks! I will have to check them out. Jeans that fit are needless to say given this thread lol...a big deal here too!

I hate jean shopping! I go through them quite quickly riding. I loved Levi's they lasted the longest but the 512's that I used to wear are not the same. I like the "slim fit" tapered leg. When I ride and I put my chaps on I don't want a lot of exta material, and the jean waist has to come above my chaps belt. So I searched and found Eddie Bauer classic fit, great! Until they went straight leg. I have had success with LL Bean, and I bought two pair at Cabela's that fit when I tried them on but BOY did the waist shrink!!! I have not had them that long and I have not gained any additional weight, but I absolutely can not fasten them! Not even laying on the bed (tee hee). I need to check out a Levi store again and see if they have anything new. I miss being able to walk into a store that carries Levi finding my style, size and walk out knowing these are what I want with out trying them on.

I'm wearing the Levis I bought recently today and I can already tell I'm going to regret having bought them. They're perfect length but almost shorter than I like and I just know they're going to shrink. I'm mad at myself for getting them (and keeping them) now and they'll end up at the bottom of the drawer soon.  Oh, and has anyone ever had the side seams of their jeans start to turn after awhile? Like about at the knee, the seam starts to curve inward and looks really funky?  It might be my imagination, but I swear these look like they're going to do that, but I'm going to take them back if they do Angry

I bought a pair of Tommy Hilfinger jeans off the clearance rack at Macy's last year for like $20 and I love them!!  I'd buy another pair if I could find them and I'd be more than willing to pay more too.
