My dog has routines for things. Every nightwhen I brush my teeth, she get really happy, then runs and finds a chewie- and waits outside the bathroom door for me to go bed. She takes the chewie to bed, but just falls asleep. In the morning when I shower, she puts her chewie in my office by the door. It will stay there all day. If I fall asleep on the couch and stay
ast bedtome, in her opinion, she get the chewie from my office and bring in into the livingroom then whine at me, or lie there like a sphinx, until I go to bed so she can do her routine.
She likes to eat her dinner a few minutes after we finish ours- though we put her food out usually as we are cooking, but she always brings the first mouthful of food into the room where we are, and she doesn't eat that food.
After we all eat and we're in the living room (she has to either leave the room or stay on her bed when we're having a meal) she waits on her bed, then when we finish, gets all silly and has to come over and snuggle with my husband for a couple of minutes- always him first after dinner- and them me- this is her "upside down dog" time when she rolls over for belly rubs.
These things she does every single day - she's a very predictable dog!
