Would you leave your dog outside a store?

• bunni Posted : 1/29/2007 1:18:19 PM I would probably never do it with the poodles (although where I used to live I could). I have done it with my son's GSD and never had a problem with people petting her. Some even crossed the street so they wouldn't have to get too close. She never did anything to frighten them except be a big dog.   Occasionally I leave a dog or dogs in my car for a few minutes (if the weather permits it). I know it isn't a healthy attitude, but one I have gained from experience and it is hard to overcome fears. I give wide birth to any german shephards, pitt looking dogs, and will sometimes cry if I have to encounter a dobie. I was chased several times by dobies, and I can't get over that fear. My dogs are smaller, and white, one is JRT and has that, "Please come pet my head and play with my ears" kind of look.
