Is 4 weeks to young?

• Tankstar Posted : 1/23/2007 10:10:56 AM 4 weeks is way to young. any good breed will wait atleast 8 weeks. and will wait even up to 9 and 10 weeks with larger breed dogs. at 4 weeks old this puppy still needs its mum to teach it many things. such as how to be social and all that great stuff that the mums teach them. • Eclipse Posted : 1/24/2007 9:04:41 PM I got my dog at 5 weeks b/c the owners wanted to get rid of them b/c the mother was very skinny. I would had wanted to wait another week but people were all coming to get one and I didn't want to be left out. I put her on puppy formula for up until she was around 8 weeks.
