you most certainly have prayers and good thoughts coming from this house. And don't blame youself for an accident. We had a horrible scare when honey, our golden retiever mix ate some d-con we had accidently knocked out of the attic and didn't know it til she got it. Because of dogs, a cat and grandkids, the attic was the only place we would put it--and still Honey got some. She came thru just fine and you have to believe your guy will also.
And i know about those notes. I got one in the mail that was just marked Resident and our addresses and it was complianing our dogs barked all night and kept them away, blah, blah, blah....and our dogs are not even out at night. But I didn't even want them to be outside AT ALL after that. Then a few months later my neighbor next door found one under her windshild wiper, this time claiming her dogs barked so much and so loud "i can't even hear my TV and have to wear ear plugs at night to bed." Heck, her dogs WERE also indoor dogs. She called the police about it and I wish I had. By the way, the house right behind kennels for the little local human society and i have counted up to 14 dogs in the back yard, some loose, some in wire portable kennels. And the neighbor on the other side of us a large hound dog, also an outside dog. We thought it strange that the two of us whose dogs are inside at night and most of the time during the day got those notes.
