Dear I-dog.....

Its okay if you call me Kayla, my mommy sure thinks highly of her so it cant be a bad thing.

No, I have never seen one those bird things before, maybe my mom wil show me one soon.  I really want you guys to tell me about those neat treats you get so my mommy can give them to me... shhhh but I think she kinda missed out on that... dont tell her I said that, but boy some of those treats sound good!

Oh yeah I got left in my crate today for the first time and I just slept because I knew my mommy was gonna be back soon.

Hi Bailey! I go in a crate when my mama's not home too. I like it. It's nice and cozy and I have a fluffy bed in there.

Your mama can go to the Health>Nutrition thread to find out about food and treats. That's where my mama learned lots of good stuff. I even get a raw egg on my dinner once a week. YUM!
    • Gold Top Dog
raw egg! frozen chicken! meat bones! ooooooooooo... im sending her there now!
she would not deprive me of these thing if she knew about them i  just know she wouldnt!
im not a brat tho thats for sure [:)]
    • Gold Top Dog
My mom gives me Innova Evo, the hard stuff and the canned, I love them both!

Every morning before my mom leaves for work she gives me a frozen chicken leg, that makes it okay that she has to leave. I don't have to go in my crate anymore but my little sister does.

She bought us some liver and chicken gizzards too, but she hasn't given them to us yet. She stopped giving me those pet store bones because I kept swallowing pieces of them and throwing up, but I like the raw bones she gives me better anyway.

Birds are fun to chase, but you have to be careful to watch where you're going. Sometimes I forget to look and when I'm watching the bird in the air I run into the fence[&:]

Boss, I understand what you mean about the fence....only I've run into it when I was trying to catch my frisbee.....that smarted!  But the birds are sooo much fun to chase!  Have you ever caught one?  Don't tell my mom, but my grandpa thinks I did in his backyard because he found a dead one back there and doesn't think that my big brother could have done it, I'm waaaaayyyy faster than him, but I'm not going to tell....[sm=devil.gif]

So, since I haven't caught one here, I just sit on the deck and eat their bird seed....even though mom doesn't like it and dad hollars at me to stop....I don't understand why....it's yummmy.....they say it's something about me maybe getting sick...what do you think, I think mom and dad are crazy!
    • Gold Top Dog
I haven't caught a bird yet, they keep flying up into the trees and I can't get them. Mom was going to put a bird feeder outside this summer, but we're moving soon so she'll have to do it at our new house. I will have to try the seeds!

Mommy said to tell your mommy to put the feeder someplace where it isn't real close to where you play cuz bird poop can make you sick.  I don't know if she's right or not, but I don't wanna get sick so I listen to mommy.

Guess what Shadow!!!!!!   We got a chicken neck for breakfast this morning!!!!!   Man do I dig those!!!  It was all crunchy and it had meat on it....yummmmm....

Yup, Mom is ahead of us on the whole bird thing, she keeps the deck cleaned off where the bird feeders are and the other one is in the yard, so I think we are ok, now if I could just catch some of those dern birds.....Maybe you and Rupert and Boss and Bailey would want to help me out.....we'll get rid of the black ones that mom calls a nusssunce....She lets me chase them all the time.....they are the star birds....or something like that...

PS ~ Nigel said to tell you hi and that he'll "still make the trade for you" if you want.....what does that mean, are you guys being mean to little sisters together?
    • Gold Top Dog
I don't got no little sisters...just little brudders.  How 'bout YOU cum live here and I'll get mommy to send TWO of my brudders to your mommy?  I'd rather have one sister than all these darned brudders.  I get mad at Thunder all the time.  He's rude.  He goes in crates where he isn't posed to be and I have to try to chase him out, but then he gets even ruder and growls so I have to growl back and then I get in trouble.  Its always his fault too....if he'd just stay outta other crates that aren't his there wouldn't be any problems at all.

I can't catch those darned birds either.  Ever time I get close mom calls me off them.

My mommy learned alot of things here as well, like how to keep me smelling good after a bath.  My daddy on the other hand well let's just say he's not the SMARTEST of the breeds [sm=rotfl.gif]

Shadow, your mom is right. Those birds cause a nasty disease thing called Histoplasmosis. That's what the doctors thought my mom had in her eyes at first, but it's something else but she's still very careful about birds now.

My mom says we're getting a new house soon and it's going to better than here. I hope so but she said if I don't behave I'm gonna go live with the gypsies. She sure talks about them a lot.. wonder who they are?

My mommy has learned a lot too.  If I was spoiled before, I'm a complete BRAT now!  That's why I'm such a good girl when my mommy is checking the forum.  I just lay there and wait for her or walk around the house and keep myself busy until she's done.  I figured the longer I'm not bugging her, the more she'll learn.  My most favorite thing ever is green tripe...MMMMMM!  Mommy and Daddy always stays it stinks, I think it's yummy!

    • Gold Top Dog
Boss, my mommy worries a lot about your mommies eyes.......I'm glad those old birds didn't make your mommies eyes sick.

We're getting a new house pretty soon too....mommy says we are gonna move in something called May and that it'll be great that this time she won't have to dig up tomatoe plants and stuff to move them.......Dad is gonna look at houses tommorow.  One is on 2 acres, one is on just one acre and then the one mommy wants to really be the best is on 5 acres.  Mommy sezs she wants lots of room for us and that SHE doesn't want naybors.

I think mommies use that gypsy thing to scare us.  My mom sezs shes gonna sell us to a band of gypies too, but we never get any come by.......maybe cuz we live in the cuntry?

Shadow and Boss, my boys.....take a little advice from an old man.  Your mom's are just trying to scare you into being good.  Don't you think for a minute that they will give you away....they might drop you off at Grandma and Grandpa's house for the weekend (which is ALWAYS good for lots of treats, a hike in the mountains, maybe a camping trip or something), but if your moms are anything like my mom, she wouldn't have a clue what to do without you!  Just be careful when you call their bluff that you have a REALLY cute trick up your fur to pull so that she forgives you for what you have done, (because let's face it, we know we shouldn't have done "it" but we did) before she catches you!!!  Personally I recommend using the cute "ears up with head cocked to the side questioning look" to begin with, bringing her a stuffed baby is good to follow up with, kisses on her face if you have to get in close (no place to hide because you are big like me) and finally, the topper, rolling over on the back for a belly rub with a goofy look on your face.  Remember to keep the tail wagging the whole time....not sure what she thinks that's doing, but she likes it.  I know it sounds silly, but when these tricks come out, I NEVER get into trouble.....she melts!

Good luck boys and remember, the Gypsy's only pick up kids....
