• danehaven Posted : 8/14/2006 10:18:22 PM Last night he did even better. We even trotted some figure 8's. I didn't ride him today but may take him on my ride with TGrammy tomorrow. R hasn't made it yet. We have talked on the phone a couple times. He is dealing with a medical issue so whenever he gets to us is fine. He was right about tanking the ground work and just riding. It seems to have helped a lot. I will see R on Wed. when we are going to haul hay. • danehaven Posted : 8/16/2006 11:18:46 PM I rode him yesterday with TGrammy. I walked him down to her place and led him around Josie the evil donkey to avoid any problems. Tonto wanted to play with her. She wasn't having anything to do with him though. He was a little nervous as we started out. And he was puffing after a couple small hills but did great! We will post the details for your amusement. I haven't been doing much with Tonto except some short rides in the round pen. • danehaven Posted : 10/25/2006 10:37:05 AM Tonto is doing well. We went on a couple short trail rides at TGrammy's and he did very well except for a couple spooks in place. He gets tired easily and needs some conditioning work. • danehaven Posted : 10/27/2006 8:59:15 PM My fave Vet got to meet my horsey boys yesterday. We did vaccs and coggins. He said that Tonto's eyes lack pigment and they will always be a weepy mess. We are suppose to watch for small cell carcinomas which agrees with what my other equine vet said. He said not to expect to gain any more from the chest muscle. Maybe some conditioning work will help, which is what I expected. But I wanted to hear it from him. He said overall he looks terrific and is one very big tall horse. He liked Jet and thought he was one cool cucumber of a horse. We have discussed Jet's weird sweating problem in the past but he still has no clue what the cause is. I have tried process of elimination and so far so good although I'm not exactly sure which thing is working. [8|] Lani - I have pics to post but we are having internet problems.
