Well, here we go again!

Glenda, good luck with the move & finding the perfect house in the country.
    • Gold Top Dog
Well, what's one more move, eh? Pack up the roving canine RV. Vrooom!
    • Gold Top Dog
I hope things go in the right direction for you, Glenda.  May you find the perfect house and not too much grief.

I know what you mean about moving - ex-military here.  We moved about 12 times in 10 years!  I'm still in the habit of saving boxes!

Good luck with the move, Glenda.  You should be an old pro at it by now.[:D] At least it's a shorter distance than before.

Glenda why did I call Todd  SCOTT, oh yeah I am brain dead!
    • Gold Top Dog
Not sure WHY you called Todd Scott!!  Trying to get me to pick out a new hubby?? [:D]

Yep, I save boxes.  And have started packing up a lot of them.  Packing, but also doing a TON of prepacking organization.

But, by golly, we'll find THE house, and hopefully another rent/option....

I wondered if I had missed something to do with SCOTT too!

Anyway sending good moving and great house in the country vibes to you Glenda!

The last time I moved, my landlord and I just switched parts of the house.  It was great.  I would come down with one of my boxes, grab one of his and go back up.  He did the same and so did everyone else!  I think we set moving records!

We just had the most frustrating move ever!! 1 mile. Just long enough to have to load the truck and trailer, tie everything down, jump in the truck... not even enough drive time to get cooled down... and back out to unload. Grrrrrrrr!

    Good Luck!!!

Last time we moved I told my husband the only way I was leaving this house was in a body bag. I never minded the unpacking, just hated packing everything up to move.

Oh you may come by anytime and start.......I hate it![:D]

I am a firm believer in everything happens for a reason, so I am sure that all will fall into place for you Glenda!
Moving is a pain, that's why I never plan on moving again, EVER! I have my 10 acres in the country, my kids are almost all grown and gone (1 left to go) and when this house falls down, I'll just build another one! LOL

Good luck to you, DH, and the furry gang!
    • Gold Top Dog
That just sounds like fun. I hope you find a GREAT house:)
    • Gold Top Dog
I moved to this house on Memorial Day last year and I'm still not unpacked. I keep finding things I forgot I had. I don't handle change well and even though the move was my idea, my choice it still threw me for a loop and sunk me into a depression that I was just coming out of until recently.

Prayers for your Glenda as you look for the perfect house.

Glenda,  just now seeing your post about moving.  I've moved many times in my life (including 3 cross-country moves, twice in 15 months).  Yes, it's very stressful, and the packing/unpacking is figuratively and literally back-breaking.  However, there's something I like about having a reason to "purge" my stuff.  It's amazing how quickly one accumulates things, and each time I move, I force myself to pare down even more.  It forces me to do some clean up I wouldn't do otherwise, and it feels kind of refreshing to begin again in 4 new walls.

As someone in an earlier post said, everything happens for a reason.  Sometimes we can't see WHY something has to happen until much later.  I hope this move brings good things for you and your family --- a wonderful new house with surroundings you enjoy, satisfying job situations for you and your husband, and positive changes in a new routine and area.  And no matter what, if we have our furbabies with us, every place we move to is a good place!  Best wishes on this transition.

Oh, not again, Glenda!  [:'(]  I'm sory.  But it does sound like a great opportunity though....  so, gotta take the good with the bad, I guess.

Didn't you put in fencing at this place, that you're currently in?  Hopefully the next one comes fully fenced and GSD proof [:D]
