It's SO hard when it's something you've never even heard of -- you are SO much in my thots and prayers.
This might sound stupid -- but I did this for Billy and it HELPED. When they are so ill, fostering that 'will to live' and to hang in is critical.
Print out his posts/mail -- and take them and read them to him. "Billy's Mom says ...." Paraphrase them -- read what HELPS. But he knows you spend a lot of time at the 'puter and he knows you post pictures of HIM -- so tell him all the folks who are thinking of him.
No it's not crazy. And I was so impressed -- the University when I had him up there - THEY WERE TOTALLY ONBOARD with it. They understand how important keeping their spirits up and fostering that will to live IS.
Talus, baby, TRY HARD. I know you don't feel very good, and neither did my Billy for a long time. But a lot of this is up to YOU big boy. Try hard. Be sure you eat good. A big dogue like you needs his strength. And yeah, there's medicine in that big tube -- and when they give you pills take them good. Trust me -- Billy can tell you ALL KINDS of ways to get pills that are pretty darned yummy!
Sometimes things have to make you feel 'not so good' for them to HELP. So trust your Mom and trust the vets. Even if stuff smells funny -- TAKE it, buddy. Let them help you.
But when you sleep, dream good stuff -- like being at the lake, and playing with all your buds. Billy says you can borrow his new tennis ball if you want. Even if you only just rest your chin on it right now.
I'm gonna put a pic of Billy right here -- JUST so you can see who this buddy is. He's been sick too -- but he's getting better.
Oops, Luna says SHE wants you to know SHE's thinkin of you too. If there's good thots of playing to be done, she wants IN on it!!
