Sick as a dog... not sure what's wrong

I know...I keep checking this thread hoping to find it is nothing really...please let us know how you are!  You are pregnant so your immune system is suppressed so you are more vulnerable.  Please let us know how you are doing!!

How are you feeling? Did you go to the ER?

I hope she's okay... I had spinal meningitis as a baby and my mom still cries to this day if she talks about it and I'm 35 now. One of my doctor's actually feels like could have contributed to my depression and ADHD, that maybe it affected a part of my brain that couldn't recover. I had very high temps and it was a touch and go if I was going to be able to walk... hope it's not meningits.. will keep praying!

Any time you have a fever that high you need to check it out. Thank GOD she came onto the forum and got talked into getting medical attention! I hope she's okay!

I immediately thought meningitis when she said stiff neck in the first post.  I hope everything is OK!  Also, if she has something contagious, that boss will feel like an a$$ when others in the office, including himself get sick!

They may well have admitted her, even if it's "just" a virus.  When I was 4 months pregnant with my second son I got hit so bad I was literally on the toilet and upchucking INTO the waste basket cuz it was a two ended deal.  I just don't vomit normally and I'm sick as a dog when I do.  They kept me for either 3 or 4 days because I was pregnant, so they might be keeping her just to be safe too.

I went in, and they treated me like I was diseased. Which I could have been. I drove myself, and that was scary.
 
I was in there for about an hour, my temp was about 103. They sent several doctors in, and they asked me a bunch of questions, and did a few tests. Meaning... they moved my neck around, and moved my legs, etc. After about an hour, the doctor came back in, and told me they don't think it's meningitis. It's just a virus, and I got the worst one.
 
They didn't do any blood tests! I wanted something done to make sure it wasn't something major. They just told me if the neck pains got any worse to go into the hospital.
 
I drove myself home and crashed on the couch. I felt like crap. Things were fine yesterday morning, then it came back. At first my neck was getting sore, so I knew I was getting a fever. I checked my temp and it was 102 again. I spent the whole day on the couch. Same neck pains, but not any worse than the day before.
 
Luckily today things are, so far, ok. We'll see though. Things start to op up around 1pm.
 
Thank you again for making me go to the doctors. I wouldn't have if I didn't post.
 
 

I'm so glad it wasn't anything serious. I hope you feel better soon! Sounds like a doozie of a virus!

I am so glad to hear you are feeling better.  I was starting to think they admitted you to the hospital!  How is your father feeling?  Are you still doing OK?

Well I hope everything is ok with you I just read this and don't know when you post it.  But I hope you are feeling better now. When you get better let us know! Like I always say no news is good news and im going too keep thinking that way!!! May God be with you!

Well I guess I should had read the next page before I posted. But it is good to hear that you are ok and that you went too the doctors. If your boss is a big A--  just make sure you get a doctors note. If he fires you. Then you could get him in to trob!!!!

My dad, for the first time in a week, took a shower and shaved. He couldn't even get out of bed. But he was out and about yesterday, and came to get my daughter to spend some time with him. So things are looking good.
 
But now I have another problem... I have the worst sunburn I've ever had in my life. I layed on a floaty for way too long on my stomach, and now I'm regretting every second of it. The back of my legs and my back are so badly burned that I can barely walk, sit, sleep, do anything pretty much. Wearing clothes hurts worse than anything, but I'm not watering the flowers and going to work naked.
 
Yesterday was the first day I didn't get a fever since Tuesday. Just hoping Saturday was the end of this terrible virus!
