Pet Peeves

He starts up, releases the brakes, looks up, and smiles a bloody smile. And proceeds to drive over the bikes parked neatly in a row.

Ron, thanks for sharing my fantasy!!!!! [sm=clapping%20hands%20smiley.gif]

Amen on the obnoxious children, dasher - especially the ones who scream and run in restaurants.  I also hate obnoxious adults LOL (usually the parents of kids who run and scream in restaurants).

I hate people who leave dogs in hot cars, too - the other day, I made some guy go out of the stupidmarket and turn his AC on for the obviously geriatric Golden Retriever that was left in his tiny little car with only two cracked windows - in the sun on a 75 degree day.  I got the old "I was only going in for a minute".  Yeah, a$$*(&^ that's why your wife had the big shopping cart half full...
The poor dog was panting & drooling and looking like he was one step away from collapse.  The guy wasn't even going to go out until I threatened him that I was going to call the police (it's illegal here).  So, he says, "Ya, have a nice day".  I did.  I saved a Golden!  I made sure that my BF got the few things we needed, and I hung out to make sure dips&^% didn't leave the dog again and come back in.
What a jerk - the dog was a sweetheart who deserved a better human...

I'm really irritated now how some people can just ignore your msg without replying back. I mean it a simple yes or no question, how long does it take a person to type either two-three letters? I'm upset that I have to make a decision that was hard for me due to these irresponsible people who careless about you.
People who can't keep their words. I mean if a person promise or said something, KEEP IT.
Family members who see their friends are more important than their family!! They rather leave you just to hang out with their friends. Once they don't have friends, they run back to you GRR.

Huskymom has me thinking.  And even though I relish destructive fantasies about blowing up boom cars (unoccupied) there's a vile group of so called humans I detest even more.  Fred Phelps and his Westboro Baptist Church group of funeral "protestors".  Maybe it crosses the line, but these people are loathsomely indefensible.  On Memorial Day, when these hateful, vile spewing idiots have been "protesting" the funerals of soldiers with a an argument that is so ludicrous, so illogical and so offensive I will not even repeat it, I am willing to cross the line and take the small chance (I hope it's small) that I offend someone on the board.

At some age this is to be expected I think.  Teenagers are notorious for this and to be honest I would be worried about my son if when he is a teen he wants to spend all of his time with us instead of his friends.

However on the flip side of this coin, I hate it when people use this excuse, Family comes first when it does not apply.  It is the reason Kale's biodad and I broke up.  He was always cancelling plans with me before kale came along and we broke up.  But after Kale was born we decided to try again.  The first plans we made, he broke.  His excuse;  I Have to take my BIL fishing, he hasnt been this year, and You know Candace, Family comes first.    Ummm and Kale would be...?  That was the end of trying for me.  Court was the next step.

If they were teenager then I would understand, but, this people are adults. My cousins (over 40) and my nieces (one is 22 and another one is 17) I can understand for the 17 year old, but for the 22 year old?.. I mean they spend with their friends most of the time, and since I live far away, they rather not meet up with me, and instead meet up with their friends. I'm dissapointed on how I am being treated, and how they don't see that they're disrespecting me.

By Pool Hall Ethics where there is a coin operated table, this is not allowed. The person playing on the table only has rights to the table by a win. They may not reserve the table with money but must play the challenger for rites. If they lose they may add their money to the end of the line of challengers. If there are no challengers they may pay for the next game and challenge.

Right, I dont care if you have a $100 bill on there (which some people actually put CASH on it!) after you are done (assuming I put quarters up)... it is my turn to play against you and if I win and someone else has money up its their turn, if not, you may put your money in and try again.  If I lose I have the option to play you again... assuming I had more money up.

People around here will put cups of quarters, literally (we counted once) 23 sets, or actual cash ($20s) and continue to play over and over!!!!!![:@][:@][:@][:@]

What really ticks me off is because DH and I try to do things the way you SHOULD we will put up on set, sometimes two, and someone will come up after us with their cup and will actually agrue with us that its their table now... without ever winning to boot.

LOL sorry you got me going on this - one time a girl had a bunch of sets up so I put ours up and after she played like 3 games i got annoyed and tried to explain to her how it was supposed to work, so she said ok.  And we then played.  After we won she said we owed her 75 cents because she let us cut... WHAT on earth...?[sm=banghead002.gif]

LOL ok Ill go have a beer now[:)]

    Homophobic people.

Two friends of mine were shot and killed because they were homosexual. One died immediately and the other one died 4 days later in the hospital from a thrombulary embolism. A blood clot broke loose and stopped his heart. The only reason the killer was caught was because he was at a party bragging about how he shot this black faggot and his fat friend. The judge gave him a lenient sentence of two concurrent terms of 30 years because the victims' lifestyle was in violation of Texas State Penal Code 21.06, which has since then been repealed.

So, I'd have to say bigotry is big on my list, too.

I'm sorry to hear about your friends Ron.  That is terrible.

Huskymom, it doesn't sound like you hate homophobes, you hate hypocrites, and rightfully so!!   Jules

You're right Jules, I do hate hypocrites, always have.  And I suppose from my example that would seem more so the case.  However I have only recently come to the realization of my friends hypocrisy, but I alway hated her view.  It eventually drove us apart, and we are no longer friends because of it.

I am guilty of using the hun, sug, sweetie . I love to use it on young people in the work force who are so rude, or cant say a nice word to a customer, or face would crack open and bleed if they smiled.

If you dont like your job for goodness sake just go home.

How hard is it to get the order right at fast food ??????
Hang up your cell phones and do your jobs or just drive dang it.

If your walking in the mall ( I am with Talus) dont interupt the flow of the waking traffic by stopping all of a sudden.
If you want to go into the store just do it........... Dang.

No turn signals, I drive an hour each way to work.. don't hit the brakes and slow down then turn it on AT the turn...

People that can't maintain a consistent speed on the highway.  If I have my cruise set, and I pass you, then don't speed up to pass me again.

People that don't use puctuation in really long posts....

Customer service reps who OBVIOUSLY hate their jobs.  I had to get a money order for a speeding ticket recently (grr).  The woman at the counter was talking over my head(another one!!) to a cashier behind me about some other employee being on break already.  I asked for a money order and how can I pay for it, she said distractedly, cash <;pause> debit <;pause> ... I have my check book and rarely use checks so I begin to write the thing out.  I finish, I even crossed off the old address and rewrote my new address AND phone number, then hand it to her.  She then says well I don't know if it will take a check.  I just look at her like WTF?  Then she's like yeah, it won't take a check.  So I say why didn't you tell me that when I was writing it out?  She says well I'm sorry I was distracted about this other employee who's on break already.  Um, yeah, no sh!^.  So then she gives me my money order.  I step aside to fill out my ticket and put it all in the envelope.  The money order is for .99 cents MORE than I asked for.  So, now annoyed, because this is twice, I interrupt before the next person can be helped and tell her she wrote it out wrong.  Then she has the nerve to get all snippy with me about my attitude!  Um, excuse me!  I'm the customer here and you screwed up twice!!!!  grrr.... she had the balls to say something like, 'you're acting like you want to fight or something'..  What???

Oh and people that still say Like a lot when talking.  Or cut off words before finishing them.  It's Nothing, not nothin'.

Leslie, your post about turn signals made me laugh because my DH has the opposite problem.  He'll be cruising down the left lane of the freeway for miles with his left blinker on (I think he's entring *geezerhood*) and finally I'll ask him "Just where is it you're planning to turn left from the freeway"?? And I just know what all the cars behind us are thinking .... [:D]

Reminds of the joke about when you retire. You move to Florida and leave the left turn signal on.

Truck drivers frequently talk about someone driving down the highway with the blinkers on saying that someone is gonna run out of blinker juice.
About boom cars, my fantasy is to mount a gatling (sp) gun on top of my car so I could 'ack-ack all the loud stereos.  One time sitting in traffic I motioned to some kid who had his stereo up so loud that my rearview mirror was shaking,  he turned down his music and I said, "I'm sorry, can you hear my radio?..."  *pause* he is looking at me confused.  He says "No".  I say, "That's funny, neither can I."  Then I drive off.  I know I am risking someone's road rage and don't get me wrong I love my music loud.  Concert loud.  Have a little 'Tull' ya whippersnapper!!  I just don't make everyone else listen to my choice of tunes.    Jules

Another one of mines is Slow drivers driving on the fast lane(the far left lane).
Cars that wouldn't let you cut them.
Fast driver on the far right lane, when you're just entering the freeway and trying to merge in.
one of my biggest pet peeve is things that I planned never come out the way I want it to come out. Sometime it can be a good thing, But something it a bad thing.
