Don't want to freak anybody out if they're watching ABC right now. President's address is over, and they're doing an encore presentation of the episode from last night.

Apparently the new episode will start at 8 (9 ET) tonight and it won't be pre-empted like we thought.

Poor Doc! I hope i'm not the only one who cried. 

I definitely cried.  Needed tissues and everything!
 
However I think I missed something and need it explained.  Christina asked Burke if he was going to tell someone something.  What was she talking about?

Nope, your not the only one.  That was when I shed the first tear but not the last.  Man that was.....I don't know.

She asked if he was going to tell Shepherd (Derek)... and then he cut her off and said not yet... but he kept fooling with his hand.  I think she was asking if he was going to tell Derek that he was going to be paralyzed.  But he kept working on it... so thats another cliff hanger, not sure if he will have use of his hand or not.

OMG I cried the entire time!  My husband even cried.  What a frekin tear jerker!  I think its kind of aggravating that Denny died.... but then again now she can be with uhhh I forget that other guy who likes her... he seems like he turned into a great guy.  Addison is crazy IMO if I KNEW my husband was in love with someone else you better believe I would let it be, she knows and looks the other way... 

Okay so when does next season start?? []

BTW - the only part my DH cried was when they put Doc to sleep he way really crying... thats my DH!  LOL  Cant look at that... its easier for me to see a person die than a dog. 

Okayyy.  We have never watched it but my wife bought me tapes of the first season.  It seems from reading the above thread that a lot of the guys left the room when it came on.  Am i going to want to avoid the show?

I didn't get it either. It wasn't as speachless as last time, and I'm very happy it wasn't a true cluffhanger (as in who will live and who will die).
Poor poor Izzy and poor Denny! I honestly thought he was gonna pull through. So is the actress who plays Izzy not renewing her contract at all next year? I really liked Denny's character, and it will be a shame to see the chemistry between him and Izzy go.

Alex has a heart (no pun intended)! Perhaps he still is madly in love with Izzy.
 
I cried when Doc died too, but I was already crying from the beginning. It was on the edge of your seat action going on!!
 
I like the fact that George and Meredith are talking again- I didn't like that when they weren't talking to eachother. The friction was just too much.

I thought he could  move it though...doesn't that mean he is not paralyzed?

Yanke I think you should watch it, my husband didnt at first, he played his computer game, but slowly started watching while playing now just watches.  He likes it. 

yeah, but I dont think (from the looks of it) that he was sure going to be able to use it again... remeber earlier they were saying he had 80% usage... I think it just had to do with his hand what they were talking about.  I could be wrong but thats what I got. 

I think his hand is fine, he does not want to tell anyone yet, does not want to junx it.  Addison and Derek need to seriously face facts and break up NOW! It is so over.  I think Addison should start to like Alex and start another triangle.  LOL! I am a glutten.  I was so bummed that Denny died but not suprised.  I really like what George has turned into lately what a great guy. When Christina went in to Burke I was crying it is so hard for her to be human.  Burke could also have been talking about Denny and what Izzy did, cuz burke knew.  Oh who knows, but Sept. needs to hurry up now!!
