The Warm Fuzzy Game

    The Warm Fuzzy Game

I don#%92t know if any one on this board has ever played the “warm fuzzy game”, but this is a game that is often used as a “team building” activity. In high school I was in Speech and Debate and we used it then, my DH#%92s debate coach in college used it with them when everyone was stressed and jumping down other team mates throats.    This is something we did a lot on my upper division college courses as well.

    This is how it goes:

Anyone who wants to contribute can, and you just say something nice about another person on the board. Perhaps it is something in a post of theirs you saw and appreciated. Or something you have learned about their character just through getting to know them. The game is a great one because it focuses on the positive and good will towards others and is infectious and that is something this board has been lacking as of late.  Regardless of whether you like or even agree with someone, you can almost always find something GOOD about a person. Sometimes it feels wonderful to know that others recognize the good in you.

****I am adding something here that I believe is VITAL for everyone to realize if you are going to EVEN VIEW this thread.  This is in NO WAY meant to harm anyone#%92s feelings. DO NOT take things personal. If you have not yet been mentioned on this thread, it is OK.. it is NOT a reflection on you. It may just mean that the people who know you haven#%92t responded yet or maybe they haven#%92t gotten around to mentioning you. But PLEASE KEEP IN MIND that it feels JUST as good to be kind to others as it is to receive that kindness in return.. and THAT is the very heart and soul of this game.  If you haven#%92t been mentioned, big deal, why don#%92t you join in anyway and say something nice about someone else. [:)]

    I will start:

Cathy (Cakana), you are the inspiration for me starting this game. You are a kind, caring and compassionate person who manages to see the good in others. You are a role model to me as I am sure you are to others in your life.

olinda/Elizabeth - I did a happy dance when I saw you were back on the board.  Something about you/your spirit, stories of Romeo, etc... really makes me happy.  You're the kind of really pleasant person that others always like to be around!

[:)] - thank you Shelly. That actually brought tears to my eyes. I've played this game as well, but it was in a real group setting and we tossed the ball to the person we said something about.  So...I'll toss the mental ball on to Callie. I've been on this board for a verrryyyyy long time and her hearfelt love for animals and willingness to help others care for their animals, has been a huge inspiration to me. Thank you Callie!

No one's made a rule yet about mentioning more than one person, so I'm going to stretch that loophole big enough for a semi to drive through.

Glenda, for being a doggy angel par excellence, for being passionate in her charity, here and elsewhere, and for having more guts in her pinkie finger than a lot of guys have in their whole body.

Spiritdogs, for tirelessly offering her expertise and experience and education in plain language that even an electrician can understand. For standing her ground and having the toughest hide that I know of.

Kennel Keeper, for her astounding breadth of knowledge in all things canid, from wild to domestic, including nutrition and physiology, from a White Bengal Tiger, to gray wolves, to her own field trial hounds. I miss that she doesn't post much any more, though I see her lurking, once in a while. I am honored that she entrusted me with a personal secret that, even to this day, I have shared with no one, not even Shadow.

To Shelly (JJ's mom) for being always upbeat and bubbly. My wife is like that, which also makes her sensitive to stress.

To Snownose, for sharing my passion for the Siberian Husky and other northern breeds. And for letting me talk about what I'm cooking on the grill even though you are a vegetarian.

To Jean, for also sharing my love of northern breed dogs and the dog sled world. And for sending me that oustanding calendar.

Ace's Mom is cool, too. We have the same mix of dog.

N Fowler and Hound's Love. We have walked the same mile in each other's shoes.

To Billy for his raucious and rapier wit.

To Jean and Mark for caring for wolf-dogs, who had no choice in being here but need a caring home, too.

To Ed for sharing his phabulous Pharoah Hounds.

Thanks Angel Trudelle for the ducks. They are a nice contrast to all the dogs, eh?

Thanks to Gina, just 'cause you're from Texas. [:D] And you're a dang good mod, too.

Thanks to Schlep, always a gentleman and easy to talk to.

Thanks to Jaime. And you better keep getting well or I will have to fly back up to New Jersey and tell all my yankee jokes until you get better.[:D]

I'm sure there's a few I haven't mentioned, yet. When I think of it, I will post again, as I haven't seen a rule that says that you can post only once.
    Loopholes, made for trucking through![:D]

edited for thinking faster than I can type.
