In 2002 the population of Houston County was estimated at 116,768, up from 110,765 in 2000 and 89,208 in 1990. Actually it has grown phenomenally fast because of Robins AFB and more land has been annexed, so I don't know current figures...most people actually live in the county. But the population is over a hundred thousand (almost 109,000 in 2000, can't find an estimate for 2007), in 15.7 square miles. The university is probably good for about half the population.
