What Car Do You Drive?

Red 2004 RX-8. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my car. I have been trying to figure out how to keep it when we have a baby. I will just have to forgo the stroller and use a pouch instead!

I took a picture of it but it is dark outside so it is hard to see high shiny it is. It has sparkles in the paint I think.

I was considering getting one of those, but you can't fold down the backseat.

Here are our personal vehicles,(not business) the white one is a Ford Probe GT( got that as a daily car for good gas mileage), Nissan 300ZX ( not really driven that much, it takes premium only) and DH is on his bike in the back.

Ford Excursion (excellent travel and dog vehicle, but horrible on gas[&:]

I have a silver 2004 Ford F-150 FX4 pickup. Hubby has a blue 2004 Ford F-350 Lariat FX4 pickup. His is a diesel, mine is gas. We're using up fuel just like MhadDog.

DH uses a 2004 F-350 for work.......is it this color?

I dirve a 99 Ford Explorer XLT. IMO, the perfect car. Not too big, not too small, decent highway mileage, and the most reliable car I've ever owned. Completely opposite of everything I'd heard about Explorers. We also have a 98 Chevy ext. cab long bed truck , a 2005 Ford F250 (business) and a 67 Chevelle (fun).

I have a 2002 Camry. DH has a 2004 cargo van for work and a 1998 Sonoma PU for if the van needs to go to the shop and for putting around. Neither of us are car people and as long as they are presentable and reliable we aren't overly picky. The Camry needs to stay reliable for quite a while. We have some seperation in our finances and I pay for all the dogs needs which have proven considerably higher than I initially budgeted for.

I have a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer -- plenty of room for us, the furry kids and any other additions  [;)]   DH is provided a company vehicle, a 2005 Ford F150 ext cab.  I love not having an additional vehicle payment, no insurance payment and the best part? We don't have to buy the fuel!  PARTAY! [sm=wavetowel.gif]

Snownose, it looks similar, but I'm close to blind, so don't trust my judgement, LOL. It's really dark, almost black-blue. Shows those scratches he gets on it from work (he's a contractor) really easily... [&:]

Dave and I usually carpool to work, so the only thing regularly driven is my 04 Neon.  It's already got 68,000 miles on it, we put 18,000 miles on it since last June [:(]  This is Dave's truck, an 05 Dakota.  It's a gas hog though, and we can't afford to feed it all the time anymore, it gets out about once a week, but other than that, it stays parked at home.  Yes, that's me in front of it, don't laugh, it's the only picture of the truck that I have on this computer [:D]  I wanted to add that his truck only has 12,000 miles on it, that's pretty good for living in the middle of nowhere like we do.

edited: I can't seem to change the size of the picture....sorry!

The celica is my wife's but i work farther away and the celica gives you better mileage, we are planningto buy a Mazda CX 7 and give the Acura back to her dad:

There is no way I would hand over my sports car to DH while I drive a 4 door......I couldn't handle it.....[:D]
Your wife is a nice wifey[;)]

DPU...You mean someone else has had a TR7?  For years, DH had a '79 and an '80.  It's only been 2 years since he sold the '79, and my son still has the '80 sitting in his driveway...intending to do something with it someday.

White convertible.  Got it 1980 and then gave it to my brother in 2003.  He and his wife are in their 70's and they look so cool cruising.  I had such a great time in that car.

Yeah, they are cool little cars, but my DH spent a lot of time underneath them.  He really thought they might be worth something at some point, but that wasn't happening.

In 1980 I paid $10,000 and in 2003 I thought it was worth the same.

I don't think so...DH got 2,000 for his.  He did try to sell it for much more, but didn't even get a phone call.  It could be our area, though.  Maybe in a big city, it would generate more interest.

My DH just told me to tell you that "British cars don't leak oil, they mark the territory like dogs!"

Your DH is absolutely right.  You know what else happened with that car.  I would drive the car to work everyday, from Indiana to Chicago Loop-20 miles, and just like clockwork on the way home the car would stall in the exact same spot everyday.  The stall would happen going 70mph on the Chicago Skyway right on the bridge over the harbor.  Could never figure out what was going on.
