Love it when the movie location is Chicago.  Mine is the Star Wars/Return of the Jedi.

Not lame at all. Molly Ringwald and Anthony Michael Hall had such comedic genius at such a young age. And their talent continues onward and upward.

ETA: Sorry, I mixed up with "16 Candles." Anyway, James Spader really knew how to play a creep.

The Highlander - a breakout role for french actor Christopher Lambert. A cheeky role for Sean Connery. A showcase of Queen music and the introduction to mainstream of Loreena McKennitt. Also a breakout role for Clancy Brown (he played the Kergan). Quite a bit of his dialog was ad-libbed. For example, the scene in the church with the nuns and the priest was completely ad-libbed by Brown.

Terminator. First big role for Michael Biehn. The beginning of Schwarzeneggar's signature line, "I'll be back." Linda Hamilton blossomed from a soft-spoken frail type to a major butt-kicker.

Amadeus - Tom Hulce and F. Murray Abraham at their finest moments. Though the movie was based on the opera by Rimsky-Korsakov, the actors made it real, as though it really happened.

"Why, that's charming. I didn't know you wrote that."

"I didn't. That was Mozart. Wolfgang ... Amdeus ... Mozart."

First Blood. I've known people similar to Lt. John Rambo. Though they didn't trigger into combat mode, they had some the same experiences and certainly had the training and reflexes. The first movie had some reality to it. The sequels were so silly that I have watched approximately a minute of each.
