New Raft! (look at this thing!) - UPDATE

~LMAO~  OMG!  Amy & Marlania, it's not funny what happened to you but it IS!

It's funny now, but at the time, it sucked. I was never so mad in my life like when that raft hit me in the face after all that lol.

Needless to say today we returned the raft, the guy at the store was cracking up laughing when we told him what happened, and he said tomorrow hes going out to try  it, cause his friend bought one!  I said I warned you! 
 
We bought a round one thats more NORMAL and a wakeboard.  Im really excited about wakeboarding, Ive never done it... Ive been standing on it on the rug in the living room. 
 
LOL I told that guy Ill be looking for you out there tomorrow!! Where the river meets the lake here is always acked, there are beaches where everyone docks and clusters of boats with people laying out, people skiing up and down the river, people sailing in the lake its so much fun!!!  I cant wait..  I do hope I see that guy trying to fly that dang thing!  And I will never ever get my butt on one again!  Well, maybe I would try again actually.... Im stubborn like that... once my injuries heal, and the bruise on my face goes away... Ill be more inclined to give it another try if someone else around has one they are letting people ride.

You guys crack me up.  You would fit in just fine in our family of dare devils.  This is my son Chad.  He won't let me send a picture of his face after a face plant.  lol,lol  He had band-aids on his forehead, nose and chin....Just like road rash only snow rash.   His nose was twice the size and purple and two black eyes.    Anyhoo,  Don't think I want to get this raft after hearing your story.  Every year I try to get up on one ski.  I can salmon but I have to drop a ski.  Every year I get an internal water cleansing. lol,lol   Oh yea,  I have to be the one driving the boat because I embarrass the family by yelling at the top of my lungs..don't do flips, be careful or just screaming like a banshee.   Can't wait for summer fun...now that we are all healed from the winter fun.

Getting up is really, really hard for me wake-boarding.  My feet didn't come out of the bindings so there I was...upside down in the water and sore as heck for days.  I won't have to worry about anything falling off.  I think my suit is going to be two sizes too small this summer anyway. lol,lol

Cindy that picture looks awsome!!!  Since you say you have sons who do crazy things, the raft may be perfect... DH and I are simply not in good enough shape or something, I dont know but GEEZ!  It may be great for them though, the guys at the store told us that they are the best thing out there right now, and some people were charging others to ride it in the river b/c so many people were asking to ride.  Then again he also said he saw a girl bust her butt... not me lol.  Only my dad and DH saw me... Whew.  So I just think its only for those extremists in tip top shape who dont mind a good beating!
 
Hopefully I wont lose my pant while wakeboarding, but Ill hafta let you know on that one lol....  I hope to get some pics tomorrow, pants on lol.
 
Are your feet supposed to come ou when you fall??  Cause when I was standing in the living room with it on I had them very tight.  DH has been makin fun on me all night for "surfing" in the living room... oh well lol.

I want my feet to come out because my stomach mussels aren't strong enough to float that long with a wake board. Now I know why all the men in my family have six pack abs.  I'm so glad that the kids all have jobs now.  Everybody knows our boat because it NEVER stops...just for gas.  Oh and maybe the screaming banshee lady. lol,lol  Between my nephews, kids friends and their girlfriends...my favorite T-shirt I wear on the boat says in big black letters..  This boat runs on more than just THANKS.   Just remember...don't give up, you will get up on your board.

OMG that would me so cold!  The water here is warm... I cannot handle cold I dont think I could move north even a little.  I would not go in it!  I will have fun, I will try to scream for you lol!

What a riot!

Okay I have awoken from my nap lol.  Wakeboarding is HARD!  I dont think I was expecting it to be anything like that.. then again Ive never skied or anything so I dont know what I was expecting.  The new SAFE raft tube thing was a lot of fun, and no serious injuries.  I will try to get some pics up tomorrow when Im a little more "in tune" to what Im doing.  Just kinda shocked at how hard wakeboarding was... I did get up tho, just not for too long at a time, and it took about 15 tries before I got up, but once I did I got it every time... will have to keep practicing, Ill be doing tricks in no time lool!

It is hard!!!  Keep trying and you'll pop up just like a cork in no time.  I would rather ski but all the men just board.  We do a lot of tubing too.  The kids have one friend that has never gotten up and he tries every year.  It's good for comic relieve because he is such a big kid we actually dragged him under water.   I don't know what part of LET GO he doesn't understand.  Give him lots of credit for not giving up.  Going to be sad this year.  The twins graduate high school and will be working..  No more endless days at the lake.  I'm so glad they had the opportunity to have lots and lots of summer fun.  Some fun I'm just now finding out.  [sm=blush.gif]      lol.lol
