What is your spouse/SO best quality?

When I am worried or scared, he comforts and supports me without reinforcing OR minimalizing my fears. I don't know how he does it, but it's amazing, and I love him for it.

in all the years that we've been going to punk and hardcore shows together, he has never ONCE asked me to hold his jacket while he goes in the pit.  he respects me far too much for that.

he loves me even when i'm ugly. 

I am in a fairly new relationship, so I would hope that I can find a lot of good qualities & only a few bad qualities in the new BF. (If there were lots of bad stuff, I wouldn#%92t stick around!)
 
While I like my new guy#%92s sense of humor, I absolutely adore the fact that he is willing to try anything. For example, he has no riding experience. Yesterday, he agreed to go riding with me. I euthanized my “beginners” horse a week ago. Now I have a cow horse who we will say is “high spirited”, a jumper that is “flighty” and another jumper who is a “basket case” on good days. (I love the basket case.) I explained to him that I really didn#%92t have a beginner#%92s horse, but he opted to come along anyway. I put him on the “high spirited” horse & he held on for dear life. When we got back from our ride, I asked him if he would ever ride with me again? To which he replied, “Any time, any where.”

Tops on my list would have to be honesty.  My DH is honest to a fault [] but I know when he says "that looks great" he really means it.  He doesn't say anything hurtful, but if he thinks something isn't flattering, he'll tell me.
 
He's also the most sensitive man I've ever met.  I'm not one to cry in a theater during a sad movie, but he is.  When we saw Seabiscuit, he kept asking me for a tissue.  When my dad passed away, I actually worried more about him at the memorial service than he did about me.  He's a sweetie that way though, and I do love it.

The good definitely outweighs the bad....if I had to pick one...it'd be this one because it's really at the root of all his other good qualities....
 
My husband is unquestioningly, inescapably, unshakably, 100%...reliable.
 
Reliability is at the base of trust, dependability, honesty, ability to father, etc so many other things. He has never NOT been where he's supposed to be or not done something he was supposed to do (speaking of important and serious issues here not piffle). Being a woman grown from a girl-seed where men were undependandale, useless, hurtful, and sometimes downright dangerous influences....this is THE single most important thing I think any man can embody. He will never not be there for me when I, or his children need him. That is priceless to me.

There are so many I can't think of them all but I notice things about him all the time that I love!

Chivalry certainly hasn't died with him...he opens my door for me, always.  Pulls out my chair.  Lets me walk first and lets me pick which seat I would like.  (Although I always pick the seat that I want that I know isn't the one he wants). 

He has a great sense of humor and makes me laugh daily.

Right after we got married I found out about some things I was unaware of that were very unfavorable.  I stuck it out with him and I have found that although I loved the man I married, I love the man I am married to even more than the man I married.

He grills for me every week.

He can finish my thoughts and my sentences.

When I try clothes on for him and am feeling insecure about my body he compliments me without even realizing it. 
 
He taught me how to respect, love and have a relationship with my dad.
 
He taught me how to respect and love myself and be treated the way I should be.

There are tons of them but I could go on and on all night!

My Dh has a fantastic sense of humor that totally suits me. We laugh, joke and spar about everything and I truly appreciate that about him. After being with him I don't think I could ever settle for someone that didn't share this same (and often warped and down right sick) sense of humor. They just wouldn't make me happy,  and life is way too short to not enjoy the hell out of it and laugh every single day.


    I love how tolerant and rational he is. I firmly believe him to be a good person and there are few people in this world I can honestly say that about.

  He has a brilliant mind. While sometimes I find his brain exhausting to keep up with .. I also find him mentally stimulating and challenging and I enjoy this about him. Although quite often being around him makes me feel stupid…[sm=party.gif]

  He is the world's best father… he is what I believe every parent should be and is a true inspiration both to me and to his children.[]

haha your brave last few times I've let BFs ride my horses it's put me off them in bed well not that bad but a man riding bad and being a retard on my horse just doesn't do it for me :-P

Well my man is just so darn generous almost always gives me what I need, not always want cause I want a lot of things hehe I'd have a new car, another dog etc etc etc []  He is also very loving and not afraid to show that in public either which I think is sweet after going out with some hardnose guys

BF truely loves me and is not afraid to show it, whether we are with his friends, family, in public or alone.

He absolutely cannot stay mad at me, nor I him.

He is very tolerant of my emotional outbursts, and there have been several over the last year being pregnant and then a new mom.

He is great with Kale, who is not biologically his. Calls him his son, and introduces himself as Kale's dad. He is also very consistant with him, which is an area I'm lacking in.

He is ambitious, and is always looking for ways to make more money for "Us".

When I stess, he hands me a notepad and a pen, sometimes a calculator and tells me to make a list. I love that he has recognized this as my stress reliever.

Oh and he hardly complains about changing poopy diapers. Now if I could just get him to share pooper scooper duties I'd be set.

Mine is incredibly sweet, and can be unbelievably thoughtful. Way more than I am.

He always thinks I'm beautiful (or at least says he does, unless I ask "Do I look pretty?" more than once, in which case he either exclaims something like, "Oh God my eyes!! I can't look anymore! Scarred for life!" or he starts tickling me until I can't breathe.)

He is far more generous than I am, and inspires me to be more so.

He is in many ways more repsonible than I am, and inspires me to be more so.

He never pressures me to do things for or with him that I don't want to do. If I'm "tired" or "have a headache," that's that and he doesn't say a word about it again. Instead, he'll offer a backrub.

He gives amazing backrubs, and frequently!

He is nice to my crazy family, even though they're insane and difficult.

He helps me with homework when he can, and is always very patient, even if I don't "get it" for quite a long time.

He appreciates that I'm not a "girly-girl" and actually prefers it when I don't wear makeup.

Just want to thank BEVOLASVEGAS for starting this thread, reading all the negative threads is so depressing.

I started this thread because, I was trying to get to know a new co-worker today & our entire conversation revolved about how horrible her husband is.  It was getting pretty depressing & I didn't have the heart to tell her, that I am currently very happy with my new BF.  Instead I asked her what her husband's best quality was.  She looked confused for a few seconds & then started telling me all the things she loved about him.  At the end of our conversation she looked much happier than when our conversation started.
