Weekend plans?

I'm really looking forward to this weekend!

The weather here is supposed to be awesome. I'm going to try and get Ron to go on a bike ride tonight with me. Tomorrow morning our neighborhood is having a "regifting" charity drive and we have a ton of clothes, shoes, a TV and VCR to give away. I am making a big pot of homemade chili and some cornbread to entertain some friends who are stopping by with their black Lab female, Baylee around lunchtime. We're hoping Baylee and Cole hit it off! (I love play dates!). Saturday evening is wide open but maybe we'll go out to a movie since we have some free tickets.

Sunday we're meeting two other friends for church and then out to brunch afterwards. Then Ron is going to help out a friend with a screen door and I'm going to hang out with his wife and new baby, AND they have a chocolate Lab who looks alot like my Bunny who died in June. So I will get dog and baby fixes this weekend!

Nothing like great weather to put me in a good mood.

I have a greyhound walk tomorrow morning and a hair color appt tomorrow afternoon. One of DH#%92s friends is coming to town last minute to visit his kids so he is staying Saturday night with us, BUT… my big highlight for the weekend is that I get to meet my very first idogger in person![

I am so excited! I am driving to LA on Sunday to meet up with Labcrab and her sister for brunch![sm=dance.gif]

We're spending the weekend in Columbus and the surrounding area looking for houses/land for sale. Piling ALL of the dogs in our car and staying at my parent's ([:'(]) while we look. I'm running around like crazy right now doing laundry and bathing dogs and packing stuff. Just stopped for a quick second to check the forums. [8D]

We are going to the Brewer's game on Sunday - it's going to be 70 degrees here!!

I am actually dog-sitting for my boss's shih tzu this weekend, so I'm anxious to see what our boys are going to think of their new houseguest! I'm sure they'll be glad to have a new playmate for a while.

I will also be doing some yard work...joy...

I've got a new client I'm sitting for he's a beautiful sheltie named Sammy. And, in between visits to him I've got errands to run. And, Willow wants to get a hike in. I just got a book of all the great places in our state to hike with dogs. And, she's insisting on one a week. Sunday, probably go return all my mom's tupperware I took Easter. I like just leaving Sunday's open. Last weekend was so busy this will be nice.

On Saturday, I am picking up Drizzle from vet clinic. She underwent the spay procedure. After that Marvin and Essie come with me to make appointments. Essie to vet clinic for HW treatment and Marvin get his very first home visit to a potential adopter. Then Marvin goes to a foster dog showing in Downer Groves at Petco. Then nap for me and then laundry. Sunday is cleanup yard day and the dogs gets to stay in the backyard all day to absorb the wonderful sun. There is a nap for me on Sunday also.

Our weather will be beautiful too this weekend, unfortunately I won't be able to enjoy too much of it. [&o] I have to work on Saturday 7-3 and Sunday 12-6 (those are the WORST hours possible this weekend). We do have some friends coming over Saturday evening though so we'll have to at least try to be outside [

Talent Show at school tonight (WHY did my kids' teacher have to volunteer the WHOLE class to square dance?) Then I have to pick up kennels for the big rescue trip. Then Saturday, heading down to pick up 5 Golden pups from a backyard breeder in Missouri. Then back to Des Moines to drop them off at rescue, then 90 miles back home. Sunday I'm trying to get together with a friend so our kids can have a playdate while us grownups burn something on the grill and possibly enjoy an adult beverage or 2 (or 6...)
