Gag me with a chainsaw = yeah right/bugger off

I like the word "alsatian" because it means German Shepherd but sounds cool.

    Shenanigans

My aunt had a horse named Shenanigans.

I think it's funny when I hear folks from the UK say aluminum or advertisement.  I will play with the word for the rest of the day, once I hear someone say it like "Al-u-MIN-yum" (as if there's an extra i) or "ad-VERT-iss-mehnt".

My favorites are in Spanish, from when I first learned them. I felt like a little kid, being all wondours at lanugage. Well, here they are:

sapo (SAHpoh) means frog. It sounds like a frog if you say it over and over really fast.

    and

mochila (mohCHEElah) means bag or sack. It just sounds cool to me.
