Oh yeah I forgot about the People Wanting to Touch You Up and MIL asking "Is he moving?" every 5 minutes.  It does get very wearing but I'm grinning and bearing it as best as I can.... they are only excited and pleased for me after all.  Oh and also, House starting to bulge at the seams with baby stuff.... and still it keeps coming.... people keep buying stuff and there's STILL more to get..... Will it ever end?

Chuffy, your little one might be born on my BF's birthday :)

Reading all these "pregnant" threads has certainly been enlightening... it looks so glamorous and womanly from afar, I guess I never factored in what a pain in the everything it can be!

/waiting for many more years before thinking about it

    Week 8

    * Still not feeling pregnant - not even morning sickness (although I'm not complaining about that!).
    * Feeling bloated and pants are a little tight from the bloat.
    * Just trying to accept the fact that I AM pregnant (the 6 pregnancy tests - 4 at home, 4 at the doctor said so!) even though there really are no signs.
    * Looking forward to our first real doctor's appointment on April 11th.

    Back ache

I thought for a moment that it was saying "back acne" [:D]
    • Gold Top Dog
Oh oh !  I'll say BACK ACNE!  I'll say Front acne, I'll say face acne, I'll say acne on my upper arms - WTF is going on????

I'm at week 13 gestational, week 15 by menstrual calendar.

Yeah, acne that is getting worse, my skin looks generally like crap, complete with the pregnancy mask of dark facial pigmentation in the middle of my forehead, my cheeks just next to my nose, and my chin.  It's so fun having to wear two different colors of concealer.

Other than looking completely disgusting, I feel really good!  I am now noticeably poochy and can't fit into any of my old pants, but maternity pants fall down.

That is the worst stage!  I hated that.  The best thing to do is to buy larger size regular pants.  Don't spend a lot since it will only last about a month.

Anybody who tells you otherwise is either 1) lying 2) suffering from Multiple Personality Disorder and had some other personality carry the child or 3) took so many painkillers during labor that they forgot!

My mom, to this DAY, can't watch a TV show with a labor scene in it . . . and she had the last of her five kids (me!), 40 some odd years ago!

My heartfelt sympathies to all you ladies!

Oh wait I remembered some more....

     - Yes the bad skin!  But (and I never normally rave about products so this is unusal for me) I found a really good skin product that has almost sorted that out now.  [:)]
     - Greasy hair that is falling out in clumps... I shall have a combover soon!
     - Diarrhoea [:'(] (sorry guys)  But aren't you impressed with my spelling???
     - The dark hair on my tummy - YUK!  [:'(]
     - Occasional moments of Pant-Wetting Terror as it suddenly hits me - Labour, the Birth, the caring for a newborn baby, the sleepless nights, the sore nipples, the non-social life, the many years of caring for another human being and teaching him right from wrong, right up to the day the thankless snotty teenager mutates into a hopefully OK human being and replaces me for a younger model (a wife).

On the whole I'll be honest though - I'm not sick of being pregnant yet.  I have had a fairly easy time of it.  Most of the symptoms I've had have been mild if I've had them at all, I still fit fairly easily into most of my old clothes... the only thing that's getting me down right now is the insomnia and inability to stick to a normal sleep pattern which is making me so TIRED... I think it's his way of preparing me for when he's born!  I have enjoyed quite a lot of this pregnancy lark - My philosophy is:  If I have to go through it then I'm been determined to savour the experience.  (I'm trying to think that way about labour/birth too but that's harder.)  And at the moment he doesn't need feeding, bathing or changing and he doesn't cry, puke, pee or poo everywhere or embarass me in public.  Bonus.

Oh yeah the diarrhea - well I'm not quite to that point, but I haven't had a solid poo in a few weeks.  Yuck.

What did you use for your skin???  PLEASE tell!
    • Gold Top Dog
I can't remember the name of it, I'll find the tub and get back to you!

It's a dead sea facial gel..... it's very expensive though!!!  But effective and the pot is meant to last for about a year.  It clears away dead skin and cleans out your pores like no ones business, but it isn't grainy... its a very smooth, soft, cool gel.  It's like a mild kind of facial peel without the harsh chemicals.  It's OK for sensitive skin.

Oh, I forgot this one...incontinence.  I go through at least 3 pairs of underwear a day.  My mom warned me, but I thought it would be afterwards.  No one said that I had to prepare myself before every sneeze, cough, laugh, position change.  [:'(]

I've got diarrhea too, but my sister says that it's better than being constipated...at least with diarrhea you don't have to worry too much about hemroids at least until after the baby is born.
    • Gold Top Dog
I was so constipated in the beginning - so I actually appreciate the "soft serve poo" lately.  Gross, I know.
