Grand Canyon Skywalk - would you?

I'd be interested in knowing what you get out on the deck for $200 that you don't get for $50. A longer tour, maybe? It doesn't look like there's really anything do do out there other than look down.

I was thinking that maybe for the higher prices you get a bus tour and lunch or something like that, maybe even a souvenir picture.

I probably would but I'd be freaking out the whole time...or clinging for dear life to a railing.

    I'd totally do it!

Let's see, if it were me, I'd charge like this:

For $25 you get to walk halfway out, turn around and come back.

For $50 you get to walk to the rail and stay for 2 minutes.

For $75 minutes you get to stay for 5 minutes and spit over the rail.

For $100 you get to walk to the rail, spit over it and stay long enough to watch it drop out of sight.

For $125 you get to walk to the rail and hock a loogie and hang out for about 15 minutes.

For $150 you get to walk to the rail and either spit, hock a loogie or just pretend you are going to barf over the rail.

For $200 you get the ultimate trip: all the way to the rail, spit, hock a loogie and then......BUNGIE JUMP!

...and a bunch of people rafting below wondering, "WTF!?" [:D]

I'd walk out on it... heck, I'd totally bungie jump. $200? Sign me up!

I've done things people consider much dumber than that.

In both regards, trying to "kill" myself (their word, not mine) and spending large amounts of money on nothing [:)]

Not if Christ himself appeared and told me to do !!!!!!!!!!

Do you think I ought to send my pricing plan to the tribe? [;)]

SOLD.. Where do I toss my $200.  I'm ready to go.

I would prefer to do the helicopter ride, so you can really see.  It is so vast, even seeing it from a jet is really awesome!

When David and I did our cross-country trip 11 years ago, we took a small plane ride out over the Canyon.  Yours truly was GREEN by the time we got UP to where the plane was and I couldn't figure out why I felt so crappy -- we got up in the plane and I felt so awful I covered my face with my hands and just concentrated on getting enough oxygen in my lungs to stay conscious.  I HATED IT.

I don't particularly like heights (Glenda, I'm right with you) but my reaction to extreme heights probably has more to do with the fact that I can deal with less oxygen than fear.  I'll look at pictures ... briefly ... thanks.

I love roller coasters but don't make me stand at the top and just look down, thanks.

And those of you all excited about bungee jumping, etc. -- I'm available to adopt as your Mother and you can all go providing you update your wills and leave everything TO ME ok???  (and yeah, I'll take the dogs *sigh*)

Wahoo, [sm=dance.gif]  You can adopt me first since my mother already thinks that I've lost my mind.  At least if something goes wrong, I know the dogs will be in a home where they will be taken care of [;)].

See I figgered the dogs would make out somehow in this silly thread *grin*

I'm just not a *nature* kind of gal.  I made a brief stop at the Grand Canyon many years ago on a drive from New Mexico back to San Diego ... the words that pop into my mind are "hot, dry, dirty, big hole in the ground, bugs, snakes, itchy, etc."
