American Idol Spolier--tonite's Queen songs

    • Gold Top Dog
Yeah Bucky would have been great for Stewie songs. Bummer.

Only time will tell if Ace will attempt that song. lmao.
I wonder if he will try to tell Rod Stewart how his song should go like he did with Queen... Ha ha

I also don't like Elliot and was sure wishing really hard when he was on the bottom three that there was a chance he was Bye Bye. I cannot watch him sing. That mug! Ugh....
Wonder what keeps Kellie on this show???? Hmmmmm????!!!???
At least the Bucky has been on long enough that I am sure he will get a great recording contract. I am sure someone will pick him up. In fact I think from the line up of the 12 to the AI top pick, all will get good things from their exposure since they were on the longest of all the contestants. I also feel this time AI's winner is going to be a male and not a female. We already have one Kelly and don't need another to win. That is my opinion.

Ace should've been the one to go last night for sure. Maybe next week he will sing "Tonight's the Night." I heard on the radio that they are singing Rod's "torch songs" so maybe they will all sing ballads. Pleeeeeeeeease don't let Taylor sing the Sexy song. OMG. I heart him but....that would be embarrassing! [sm=lol.gif]
    • Gold Top Dog
    I CANT IMAGINE.............

I thought Ace was gone for sure, I mean I know Bucky wasnt going to win, but I thought he was better than Ace.
So next week is Rod Stewart Songs???????????

I like Rod, but not just anyone could do his songs, he has a very unqiue voice. I dont think AI singers can pull it off.
    • Gold Top Dog
Bucky would have. He has that unique voice. [&o]

    Rod Stewart Trivia:
Does anyone without googling, Rod Stewarts middle name?

What was the name of his group before he became Rod Stewart?

What other profession was he looking at doing for a living before he became a singer?

I cannot wait............... Snoopy Dance......... [sm=dance.gif][sm=dance.gif]

Another one that would be hard to pull off would be....... Gasoline Ally.

    • Gold Top Dog

Rod the Bod middle name is Alan.
He was in a church group before he formed a band called the Boom Town Rats, with Jeff Beck as lead guitarist before he went on to another major band and Rod the Bod, went out on his own.
He actually wanted to be a professional soccer player.
The older he gets, the sexier he gets..... oh sigh...
    • Gold Top Dog
I didn't know his middle name but I knew he wanted to play pro soccer. He and Elton John were and are huge "football" fans (and players in their younger days) in England. Rod also was in a band called The Faces, which helped make him a solo star. I've seen him in concert once...one of the best concerts I ever went to. He just never quit! And I knew the words to every song (can't claim that at any other concert I've been to in my life).
    • Gold Top Dog
    That's right about the Faces.
It was originally the Small Faces before it became the faces.I forgot about that.

His first solo album was An Old Raincoat will never let you down, in 1969.

His album, Every Picture Tells a Story ,was the very first hit to top the charts in the UK and USA at the same time.

Did you know he was inducted into the Rock and Roll  Hall of fame in 1994?

He was born on the wrong side of the tracks, on Jan 10th 1945.

These are some of my favorites he sang and the year they came out in.
  • “Handbags and Gladrags” (1969)
  • “Gasoline Alley” (1970)
  • Every Picture Tells a Story (1971)
  • Never a Dull Moment (1972)
  • “The Killing of Georgie” (1976) Actually a true story. Was his best friend.
  • Not to mention Maggie May which is also a true story. I forgot when that one came out.

I also have been to one of his concerts in my life time and would love to go to another. I was 17 when I went to Conneticut to watch him perform. You are right and yes he is a bundle of energy. Never been to another concert with that kind of energy either.

I have to make a slight correction. His middle name actually is David and not Alan. Brain fart. Roderick David Stewart. My bad. Sorry.. embarrassed my own self...lol Where in the heck I got Allan I will never know.... Blonde ya know.

I have been a Rod The Bod fan since I was 10 years old, thanks to my parents friends who intro'd me to his music and it has stuck ever since.
    • Gold Top Dog
wasn't boom town rats bob geldoff??
...I don't like mondays was one of my favorite songs
    waaaayyyy back....

I think they're going to sing songs off of Rod's album series...greatest american songs or something???!!!

I also think Ace should have left before Bucky.
Chris is sounding the same week after week. (Even though I like him).  McPhee sang my favorite Queen song, it was okay.

Paris, who I don't like, did better than I expected.
A hard week for all contestants, nobody can top Freddi Mercury...

...any Eagles fans out there,  wouldn't that be fun to see on Idol...

Shoot,,,,I was really hoping for REAL Rod Stewart songs!  I was bored tonight, didn't vote for anyone,,,first time!
    • Gold Top Dog
I'm trying to vote, but it's still busy. I was kinda hoping for real Rod Stewart songs too.
    • Gold Top Dog
I thought Taylor did a good job as well as Chris and Katherine.
Kelli bless her heart I dont think she did very well, and I have to ask is she really that dumb or is it an act.
    • Gold Top Dog
I think they all did well tonight....except for Kelli [&:]   Although my favorites were Katherine and Chris.
    • Gold Top Dog
DH thought I was absolutley Nucking Futs when Taylor sang his whole heart out. I jumped up and yelled at top of my lungs, "Yeah, he nailed it!" GO TAYLOR!!!!! GO BABY GO!" "That's what I'm talking about!" Strutting around my chair like a rooster doing a chicken dance. DH said I looked foolish. My reply to him was...... That's what you guys look like at football season, so what the dif??? Yelling an cheering at the TV. Oh BITE ME I said!

Anyway, it was a dissapointment they did not really sing Rod The Bod songs. Isn't his little girl just as cute as can be? That has to be number 9 for him. lol

These were my favorites that I thought are still in the ball game. I also tried to vote, and lines are still busy. grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!

    1. Taylor
    2. Kathrine
    3. Chris
    4.Ace
    5. Paris
    6.Elliot
    7. Kellie

Somebody asked if Kellie was just that dumb or was it a show. I say show cause her responses sometimes are not what a typical air head would answer but someone that is just putting on a show. That is her. FAKE, FAKE ,FAKE...
Never liked her and never will. My opinion only.
    • Gold Top Dog
    My favorites last night were:

    1. Paris
    2. Chris
    3. Taylor
    4. Katherine
    5. Elliot
    6. Ace
    7. Kellie

Elliot, Ace and Kellie were only o.k. I didn't even really any of their performances. We'll see tonight. If it's going off of last night's performance, then I think Kellie SHOULD go, but I wonder if it will be Elliot instead. I WANT to see Ace go.
