    Is it just me...

or is it like this for most people:
I'm finding the older I get, the less tolerance I have for things that I used to tolerate well.
    Like teenagers and arrogant people.

MAN! I swear I feel like I could I just smack some people around, you know?

true for me, but i also find myself more being more tolerant of things that used to bug the crap out of me. its a strange life. [&:]

    DITTO!!!!!!!!!

You are NOT alone in that feeling Rebecca!  [;)]

Nope!!! Not just you, I want to smack people around on a daily basis.  I'm only 31, and I feel like the world is getting dumber by the minute! Especially the way teenagers talk to adults these days! And did you hear California is trying to make spanking a child illegal? The way I see it more kids these days should be spanked.
Edit: i've even met a few adults that could use one!!!!

My hot button is loud 2-10yr olds.  I cannot stand that squealing high pitched noise.  (Sorry all you parents out there.)  Arrogance I laugh at, and teenagers...I mostly just ignore.  They're usually better than I was as a teen anyways.

Teenagers, other people's kids that dont behave anywhere, and senior citizens in their cars at 10mph

Oh, oh, oh!  I'm getting so intolerant of some things that I feel like an old fogey.  Mostly it's un-restaurant trained children.  I've always wished for a children & a no-children sections in restaurants.  It used to be if you sat in a smoking section you could have a limited exposure to kidlets but not so much anymore. Sorry if that offends anyone in here.

ditto! and the childrens section should be behind a sound proof wall!

I'm still relatively young (26) and should be somewhat tolerant. [;)]

I'm not.  I have ZERO patience for stupid people.  I realise that everyone's different and there are different levels of intelligence, but I get the impression that some people are just dumb on purpose.  Like those people at the airport who spend 10 minutes looking for their passport AFTER they get to the check in desk because they didn't realise they needed to show it.  Or people who sue McDonalds because they spill hot coffee on themselves.  I'm not even sure it's stupidity exactly...more like a common sense deficiency, but still it's sooooo annoying.  PC-ness be damned lol.  Actually I blogged about this very subject a few days ago:

These are all terrific.  I find that I've become more patient in certain situations, like I seem to tolerate kids and the elderly better, but a LOT of things just annoy me so much that I leave whenever I can.

During tax season, WHY do people bring their screaming, fighting, running BRATS to the office, and then apologize that "they're that way because they're hungry."  So, why didn't you feed them, STUPID?!??

People who don't train their dogs, then get angry at  you when you say "No" at the dogs attempts to jump up on you.

There's many others, but the best one is the one I'm dealing with currently, coworkers who do NOT wash their hands after using the bathroom.  COME ON, that's just GROSS!!

i'm extremely offended by those people that take their kids into the smoking section, im not afraid to say that smoking and having kids is bad enough, but to do it around them is just flat out irresponsible and selfish. i've lost a few close friends over my views on this. i simply cannot tolerate seeing kids surrounded by puffs of smoke without saying something.

Kids with thoes roller shoes bother me.

They are just annoying, your not allowed to roller scate in stores, food places or even malls and airports but there are so many of kids now that have these shoes with bilt in rollers and suddenly you see then rolling along, zipping past you nearly knocking you over! I would have loved to have something like that when I was a kid but seeing them on kids now bugs me so much. Not to long ago I was eating at a place that had a wooden patieo and there were two kids rolling around making a loud noise on the wood, drove me nuts, I had to ask if I could be moved to a different table because thoes kids where being anoying. Then the parents...just sitting there thinking their kids looked so cute with thoes shoes.

Most of you have a lot of years of living to get to my age (62 in June) and if things are already bothering you this much, WOW, what will it be like in 25-30 years!

But you are right, i do not have the tolerance of some things that I use to.  My husband smoking drives me crazy.  I stopped 7 1/2 yers ago and he makes half hearted attemps every once in a while.  he does not smoke in the house or car, but every time we go somewhere he has to wait outside to smoke instead of going right in and that bugs me.  And when we come out of a non smoking place, he has to smoke one before we leave, and that bugs me.

Stopping at a red light next to a car playing that horrible rap music so loud it makes my car shake...or worse having to wait in the ferry line to go to Port Aransas and be behind or in front of one for 15-20 miuntes... bugs me.

For the most part kids don't bother me at all--I have 3 grandkids ages 7, 5 and almost 4.  But i hate those ones in stores screaming for some toy or candy bar, etc.  Mine would have had busted back sides, but you can't really do that today and it seems parents give in to shut the kid up and the situation just gets worse as time goes on.

Another thing--hubby is long haul trucker and gone 2-3 weeks at a time.  I go to bed and get when I want to, eat what and when i want to while he is gone. When i get hungry I look in ice box and freezer and decide what i want to eat for that meal. He comes home, gets up wanting to know what i am going to make for breakfast, what are we going to have to lunch, what am i going to fix for supper.  Drives me nutty.  After he has been home a few days it isn't so bad, but the first couple, WHEEE, poke a rag in his mouth.

I'm finding that the older I get, the more tolerance I have for people and annoyances. It's still a pretty low threshold, but I feel like I'm making some progress. Kids still annoy me the most and I also wish there was a no children section in restaurants.
