Desperate for News From Grayling Michigan

I posted this in the non dog related section but then thought it might be seen more here. Hope thats ok

This is going to sound weird but I'm getting desperate. My brother was killed by a hit a hit and run driver in grayling yesterday, If anyone has heard about it could you please contact me. Thanks. No family lives in the area and we are all wanting news.

OMG Julie Kay,
I am so sorry for your loss. I have tried to google to see if I could get some info but had no luck. I know Glenda lives in Michigan and maybe she can find something out.
My sympathy goes out to you and your family.

OMG. I'm so very sorry. Yes, I did hear about this on the news last nite and I wasn't totally with it when the news was on. Apparently another driver saw the body by the side of the road and the police DO have a suspect. OK just found more in the paper.....

Your brother is Neil? He was walking in a lane of traffic and was hit, he was found on a snow bank when the sun came up. Paint chips samples were used to help id the vehcile type involved and the police have narrowed their focus to a 46 year old Grayling man. a 1998 Chevy work truck has been impounded. The driver thot he had hit a deer.

They suspect that your brother had been drinking and was intoxicated, I'm sorry to say. They are waiting for lab results. Apprently both the city police and the sheriff had stoppped him around 10 Wed nite while he walked alone on a sidewalk through the downtown Grayling business district on his way to a motel.

I'm so sorry...this is all I can find in the paper. I think if you type in record-eagle.com you'll be able to find an online news story about this.
