The thought processes of men

Rebecca....lmao over your peeing story...if i wasn't camping and trying to type on my cell phone you would be getting a ton of emoticons! I feel ya, i can't watch scary movies at all and i also make jim come to the bathroom with me just in case there is something waiting for me....

Once in ahwile he can suspend reality enough to not comment on every stupid or unrealistic thing...movies like lord of the rings he will do that with, but not a lot of others.

he would actually like to see snakes on a plane because of jackson, and because it is so ridiculous it has started a cult following...heard a great interview with samuel l jackson when that movie came out and we laughed our butts off...can't repeat it though here...too many F bombs!

sorry to hear you aren't feeling well..hope you get better soon!

DH is exactly like that too JJ!  I have to watch a few of *my* shows without him around because his commentary will not stop!

jim would be too caught up in all the movies innacuracies to even allow us to get to the end (thus we stick mainly to independent and foreign films in our household so i don't get lectures throughout the movie...). And forget the fact that the snakes were on a freakin plane...because of his work on F18's i would get tons of lessons throughout that entire movie...perhaps i would rather have your SO's thought process...hmmmm...something to think about!

i can suspend disbelief enough to get over plot inaccuracies most of the time. my problem is with continuity. like when two people are eating dinner and you get close-ups of each person as they are speaking and one person's glass is half full and in the next shot is is full again. or rings switching hands, or clothing being worn differently, or hand on hips and arms folded, or .... i mean there is usually a person being paid to keep track of these things. he/she should take more pride in their work. [8D]

if the plot is good, i usually dont catch those things too much, but if it is just an ok movie all the bad stuff jumps out at me. of course occassionally, you will get an ultra bad movie where you can see the shadow of the boom mic above the characters' heads.

    Bradley...
that is a huge pet peeve of Jim's...and after 10 years of being with him I totally pick up on that stuff all the time too...he totally rubs off on me...I too am SHOCKED by how many errors get through in movies...it is unbelievable to me. I have caught 2 in the past few weeks alone!
I do have to say though that I love him for these silly things and I am not sure I could ever be with anyone who didn't think this way...I am hooked!

I don't like WE, but I sometimes watch Lifetime movies, either on LMN or Lifetime itself.  The only reason I watched Lifetime was because of The Golden Girls (the best comedy ever [:D]).  I did catch a few of their movies and began watching more.

Everyone knows what a "Lifetime movie" is, right?  They involve crazy, suspenseful plots with revenge, stalking, crime drama, and so on.  One of my former co-workers was stalked by a crazy ex-boyfriend a few years ago and said her life was transformed into a Lifetime movie.  It's only funny if you understand the Lifetime movie stigma.

I TOTALLY understand the lifetime movie stigma.
My friends and I used to make up funny lifetime movie titles.
    It was HILARIOUS.

What's worse is kid's programs, they don't even make an effort, like the kids won't notice continuity errors or something. DH and I have noticed so many, and now DD1, who is 5, even points them out!
