any confirmation from a non-iraqi doctor?

how did they do it? guillotine? firing squad? stoning?

i think they should have let all the widows of the deceased service men and women from the current iraq war at least punch him once.

They said it was by hanging, the Iraq government hasn't confirmed yet, it's on the arab wire according to fox news.

doesnt hanging seem too humane for "the butcher of bagdad"?
    • Gold Top Dog
a waste of life has now become an even bigger waste huh, pity.

That's what I thought too, althogh he wasn only convicted of 150 deaths, they were saying on the news there is significant evidence he has actually killed close to 1 million people!!! Wow.

I know that the execution was always planned to be a hanging, so without further proof I'd guess it was that.  I can only hope that the knowledge of his death brings some comfort to the people he and his regime affected.

I think they should've shot off his "reproductive organs" with an AK47, Make him eat a stick of dynamite, and light his hair on fire. A bit graphic, but he deserves it.

    Too funny, but true...........

Hmm. Instead of the dynamite, how about chewing those fireworks that blow up when you throw them on the ground? I think they're called poppers.

I found him to be a revolting individual, and find all dictators to be so. And, while I normally don't support capital punishment (to me 50 years of lost freedom in a crappy and hostile environment beats death), I can see why it might be important to carry out his sentence quickly and without drama.
People deserve to govern themselves (and that includes men and women) and live in peace.  Pity we humans have learned so little about how to do that in all the years since Christ and Muhammed walked the Earth.

I do support capital punishment. As comedian Ron White put it, "In my state (Texas) we put in an "express lane.""

It will never be a 100% detterent. It's value is in removing a recurring danger to the world. True, there will be another bad guy like him somewhere else, hence, the express lane. I view criminals like him and others who have been executed as having given up their responsibility to their fellow man in their lust for power. I don't care about their motivations or hard childhood. When they start killing people for their own power, it is time to remove them from the "game."
