I got robbed

    I got robbed

I was on my mission today of going to the pet store to buy goodies for the kids and as I was walking out of the store and throiugh the parking lot some black guy came up and grabbed my purse. At first I didn't let go but finally did after he belted me twice in the face. He ran off with my purse and the bag of goodies for the kids.
I am really freaked out, never saw or expected anything like this. He got over $200.00 cash, all of my ID plus all of the personal stuff I had in my purse.
    Guess I just need a forum.dog hug[:o]

OMG!  Is your face, OK?  Maybe you should see a doctor to make sure.   You called the police and everything right???

Lena, can you get some police protection for awhile?  Not only does this scumbag have your money & goodies, but if he has all your ID he knows where you live. And make sure you cancel any credit cards & let the bank know if you're missing a check/debit card or a checkbook. Hope you're OK. ((((((hugs))))))

I can't believe that?  I ditto everyone above - See a Dr & call the police!
I hope your face is okay!

OMG Lena, I'm so sorry this happened to you. Are you okay? I can't imagine what you are feeling right now. I wish I could give you a big hug, so I'll send some.

OMG! I hope you're okay! *hug*

Definitely notify your bank, credit card companies, etc. to let them know what happened. When someone broke into my car and got some of my stuff, I even had to notify the social security office because the a-hole who broke in took my social security card too. I don't want to scare you, but if you had any spare housekeys in your purse, you might want to change your locks, since he does have your id with your address. Of course, he was probably someone just looking for a quick cash, but better safe than sorry.

Meanwhile, if you ever see this guy again, knock him the hell out and hit him once for me lol.

Probably some crack head.  Glad you're okay.

    Lena,
I'm so sorry to hear this!!
    {{{HUGS}}}
I'm glad you let go and he wasn't pushed to hurt you more...those things in your purse can be replaced, YOU can't!!

    Rest up, feel better

How scary!!!! I'm sending you lots of positive vibes and a BIG HUG!

Oh you must be a wreck I 've got a big hug for you.

I know this may sound unreal, but look around the area that it happened (with someone to help) and look for your purse. You may find it. I have brought two wallets back to the grocery store that were sitting one block away. They were dropped or taken from a customer a couple days prior.

This jerk may have taken what he wanted, and left the rest behind.

Yikes - I think it'd be a few days before I quit shaking enough to type.  So sorry this happened and as others said, cancel credit cards, notify your bank and change any locks he might now have keys too.  Sending cyber-hugs and hoping you're okay.

OMG, I'm so sorry you had that terrifying experience!  I'm glad his fist was the only weapon he had to use on you and you weren't more seriously injured.  I can't imagine the feelings you're having -- of violation, anger, fear, etc.

Definitely follow up ASAP with all your bank accounts and such.  Identity theft is so prevalent these days, and that kind of crime can hurt you in non-physical ways for years.  You can call the 3 main credit agencies and put a fraud alert on your record so they won't issue new credit without confirming it with you directly.

I don't know what the world is coming to when we're not safe in the parking lot of pet store in the middle of the day, for crying out loud!  As Billy said, probably a crack head.  Drug users like that are so desperate that they don't care if it's night, day, if they're seen.  Again, I'm so sorry --- sending you a big hug!

    Big huge hugs for you!!
