OMG, I'm so sorry you had that terrifying experience! I'm glad his fist was the only weapon he had to use on you and you weren't more seriously injured. I can't imagine the feelings you're having -- of violation, anger, fear, etc.
Definitely follow up ASAP with all your bank accounts and such. Identity theft is so prevalent these days, and that kind of crime can hurt you in non-physical ways for years. You can call the 3 main credit agencies and put a fraud alert on your record so they won't issue new credit without confirming it with you directly.
I don't know what the world is coming to when we're not safe in the parking lot of pet store in the middle of the day, for crying out loud! As Billy said, probably a crack head. Drug users like that are so desperate that they don't care if it's night, day, if they're seen. Again, I'm so sorry --- sending you a big hug!
