What's the WORST movie you've ever seen?

    • Puppy
Just found this board yesterday. My all time least favorite movies or movies that should never have been made(in my opinion). Brokeback Mountain, Dirty Rotten Scoundrals, Dumb and  Dumber, and the movie I hated the most was The yearling. I was jsut a kid and it made me so upset in the theater when they killed that little fawn the usher actually had to take me out to the lobby. I know it sounds silly but to this day if there is an animal in the movie I won't watch it unless someone who has already seen it tells me the animal does not die. I actually now have a website I go to it is called Moviespoilers.com. It gives a synopsis of movies new and old, but note that the endings are revealed if you read the whole spoiler.

Gonna have to differ with Jeano on HP IV, cause that was my favorite so far.  Liked 3, too, but did not care for 1 or 2 as films.  I mean, they were all right, but a little dull.  Too close to the novels, actually.  I think what can work for pacing in a novel does not always work in film.  With a book, you plan to be with it a while - it takes days to read or weeks.  A movie has limitations and I thought some pretty savvy choices were made with how to boil down all that was truly important in book IV into a movie under 3 hours.  I know some stories were eliminated entirely and other plot lines were blurred together, but I thought the pace of the movie was taught and the result was a suspenseful flick.

Too little Gary Oldman, but oh, well......

    Dumb and Dumber

I liked that movie because it was stupid.

"Hey! Her name was on her luggage all along. Samsonite. Man, I was way off!"

Tom Cruise has made some real stinkers...but the worst has to be 'Eyes Wide Shut'.

I wasn't much of a Tom Cruise fan, outside of "Risky Business." For a long time, I couldn't much get into his movies because they were just vehicles for a pretty boy. Tom Cruise as a fighter pilot. Tom Cruise as a race car driver. But I did like him in "Vanilla Sky." And not just because it wasn't about his pretty looks. He was actually doing some acting I could appreciate.

I juxtapose him with Ewan MacGregor. Now, he is a flexible actor. You forget who he is and concentrate on the character. The same with Johnny Depp. He had to overcome being a pretty boy and age has not whithered him. But his acting is so brilliant that you forget all about "21 Jump Street."

ughhh, i have seen hostel, was not at all impressed, and had trouble eating after i watched it.
i have a question, are boobs scarey? it seems there has not been a horror flick made in the past 5 years that didnt have boobs at least once, so i have come to the conclusion that they are scarey peices of female anatomy.

im still thinking about all time worst movie..will get back on that one.

I'm starting to think they should just quit making sequels - to anything.  And for sure no more movies based on old 50s/60s/70s TV shows.[:D] I heard something on the radio a few days ago to the effect that they were thinking of re-making The Wizard of Oz - bad idea.  BAD! BAD! That's a classic.  Leave it alone.

I loved Napolean Dynamite!  I keep telling everyone I know that it's the funniest movie, and my BF keeps looking at me like I've lost my marbles.

Worst:  Date Movie - I want the hour and a half of my life back.

Oh man...I read through all of the replies and only found 1 of the 2 worst all time movies ever....

Attack of the Killer Tomatoes and the absolute worst.....

Congo - the absolute worst move in history...I'm pretty sure it's documented somewhere!!!!!

People really do find things are very different......Jeano...you didn't like Chasing Amy?  Do you like any of the Kevin Smith movies?  I'm a HUGE fan....but I love hearing about people's different likes and dislikes!!!

Superstar with Molly Shannon. So very, very dumb.  Also Congo sucked. The worst movie of all time was the one that came out about seven or eight years ago, about Son of Sam. It went on and on forever. I was so incredibly bored. Also hated Any Given Sunday. So long, and so boring. I think it was the same directer who did the Son of Sam one. Purely awful.

I also am terribly bored by all the PG-13 horror movies. Bogeyman and all the rest. They bore me to tears. The kids from work always want to see these on town trips. They think the movies are "so scary" and ask me constantly afterwards "Were you scared? Did you jump?" Usually I just try not to fall to sleep.
