Stacey, I love that Zoe is too cute. I am wondering I have tried like 75 million different harnesses on Trixie the problem is her legs are long her hair is long now and growing in kinky and curly so it gets caught in everything I put on her. She is a high stepper, I don' t know what that's about, do you think this type would work on her, I really need help.
Thanks for the compliments!
I am tempted to say I think this might work for Trixie. I am no expert but my theory is... dachshunds normally (all but Zoe) have short legs and these stay on. So it is similar to lifting legs high and thus making a "short" leg that could fall out of a harness. These are made of fabric so except for velcro, there is nothing really to snag the hair. The official web site for them is [link

Also, some people on the dachshund board use puppia harnesses which are somewhat similar. If you sew, I can ask for the pattern for Zoe's. From what I am gathering, it is hard to fit it exactly, but even a bit big or small it works. Zoe's so far are too small (yellow one) and too big (lavender one). The lady is making another now. (Again may I say she is the nicest person ever!!!) However, she has walked nicely in both. They are not great for pulling but she does fne on a looseleash with them.
This harness velcroes and clips in the front, and velcros under the belly. There is a D ring on the back.
