I have a tankini with the cutiest damn skirt that I bought a couple years ago and that is as close as I get.

But now Xeph you have motivated me.. I was trying to remember the last time I wore a string bikini and you know what? It was only 5 years ago actually. DH and I had lost a bunch of weight doing the low carb thing (unfortunately it wasn#%92t sustainable for either of us…[&o]). I got out the Hawaii pictures just now and I tell ya what.. I looked damn good then… and I am only 1 more size away from being able to fit into that bikini and those cute clothes I still have tucked away.  SO NOW I am motivated to get my fat a$$ on the stairclimber tonight (I was gonna skip today and just do the exercise ball after I walk the dogs).. but not now, I ain#%92t skipping it! I am gonna get myself back into that bikini before the end of summer I tell ya!

As for the self confidence, I'm sure many may disagree with why I have it, but I have to admit right now it is ALL because of Jon.
 
I mean, I've gotten to the point where all on my own somedays I think "God, I'm not a bad looking girl," but, hearing Jon call me beautiful or tell me I'm sexy, or that he thinks I'm pretty...it means a lot to me, and that's where a lot of this confidence is coming from.

I think you make an EXCELLENT point Xeph. Men don#%92t realize the power they have to make a woman feel better about herself and more attractive. What they also don#%92t realize is that the confidence that they instill in her can pay off BIG TIME for them. Many men complain about a woman#%92s lack of interest, but they hold so much power to change that by doing and saying simple things that can make her feel more attractive, and more wanted.  I am glad to hear that Jon seems to know these things Xeph[]… now can you or Jon cut and paste this info into an email and send it to my dh?  He hasn#%92t figured these things out yet.[8|]... lol...

Well, I meant more along the lines of so many people say "You should feel beautiful on your own," but, quite frankly, it is human nature to want (and need) to hear praise from somebody else.
 
While I do have these "Damn! I'm fine!" days, sometimes I'm wondering if I'm not full of myself, or if I really am goodlooking.  I don't believe family when they say I'm pretty, because they're family, it's what they're SUPPOSED to say.  With my last couple boyfriends, I never really believed them when they told be I was sexy, or enjoyable.
 
For some reason I believe Jon.  I find no reason not to.
 
It is nice to be liked for my sense of humor, and because I'm entertaining and tell great stories, but I've never had a man be attracted to be before because of my appearance.  And it feels good to be wanted for how I look for a change (I'm sure that won't make sense to a lot of people).  Don't get me wrong, personality IS important, but it's nice to know I can be found attractive physically.

Xeph, I don't post to you much but I do lurk.  I have to say that I'm kind of getting a high off your confidence.  I love seeing a woman who is on the low end of confidence scale & work hard to find her power.  I don't know if that makes any sense but all I can say is keep it up!  You truly are an inspiration.

Yeah, I've been playing soccer since I was 5 (I'm almost 22 o.O).  I have come to terms (For the most part) with the fact that I am never going to be a tiny white girl, or as slim as my sister (who is also an athlete).  But, I can use my size to my advantage.
 
For example, if I'm on a soccer field running at a good clip, and there's a lil waif of a girl coming at me to take the ball, who do you think is going to end up laid out on their back?  I'm reasonably sure that it won't be me xD
