I CANNOT believe how big Sgt. Butter is! Holy Cow! How old is he now?
Gosh, he is so HUGE now! He just went for his last puppy shots Friday and he's *almost* 40 pounds. He's 16 weeks old now. I think it's time for me to do another photo update for him. [

]
sgt. butters: hmm whats out there, what can i get into
ogre: i'm missing my show for this... (is he watching tv in the very first pic?)
madison: hooooommme......
axl: grrrfffrrrfffrrr snorrrrrrr
pepito: axl wake up, wake up we are surrounded by beasts
[sm=rotfl.gif] That is PERFECT!! And yes, Ogre was watching TV in that first pic. He gets pretty interested in the TV when someone with a high pitched voice is on....so women singing especially really get his attention. [

And a big [sm=wink2.gif] to Callie for helping out so much.... which gets me thinking. We need to somehow figure out how to make pocket-sized Callies to have with us at all times. Perhaps a bobble-head? [
]
[sm=lol.gif] Definitely! Callie is just absolutely amazing...I can't even begin to thank her enough for everything she's done/doing for me and Madison. I would have no CLUE what to do or where to begin without her...she's just been incredible.
Brittany -- I'm back home but today was a blur -- but we need to get our heads together on that vet. I will try to get hold of you tomorrow. How FUN to see all the pics!!
Oh yay you're back! I hope you guys had fun. [

] I did e-mail that vet, but I haven't heard anything back yet...I worry that she may not have gotten the e-mail, as many problems as I've had with it lately. If I hear nothing back by tomorrow morning, I'll send off another one. But yes, we do need to get in touch. I'll keep the phone nearby so I won't miss your call. [align=right]
How is Pepito doing with the newest member of your family? I remember you posting about how he seemed to have some issues with consistency and other issues.
Luckily, I lived with my parents until last August, so he was raised with Madison. Things he's been around since his puppyhood he tends to forget alot less than others, and we've been doing some herbal therapy with him that's also helped his aggression and overall mental state quite a bit. So luckily, he knows Madison and accepted her right away. All of my dogs had at least met her before, since I always brought them when I visited my parents. She fits right in and they all get along just fine.
And also, I've been wondering lately...does anyone have any ideas as to what she might be mixed with? My mom adopted her from the city pound at 10 weeks, after she had been picked up as a stray. As a puppy, she looked just like a golden...but was dark red with a totally pink nose. Her coat color lightened up a bit as she aged, and her nose darkened. I'm not sure how much she weighs, but she's smaller than a golden. My rough estimate is somewhere between 55-70 pounds, probably on the lower end of that scale. Her personality is definitely retriever, but she never went through a goofy retriever puppy phase...she was pretty mature from day one. She's not dog aggressive, but she DEFINITELY has an alpha personality (I hate using terms like "dominant" and "alpha," but I don't know how else to describe her.) Her coat is much shorter than a goldens, but longer than a labs, and it curls in places like some golden's coats curl. It's also VERY coarse, unlike most golden's coats I've seen/felt.
The people at the pound told us they thought she was mixed with chow when she was adopted...but I've never seen it. I really can't tell at all...she's probably a mix-of-a-mix so who knows. Any ideas?
