Henrietta's morning photoshoot

    wow,
    that is so unreal!
That last photo of Lucy looks like so much Henri to me. adn Henri LOVES to lay on the grass and chew sticks.
They do look like scaled up/scaled down versions of each other.

hmm, I wonder if Henrietta was a Min Pin crossed with something larger???
We always wonder as the humane society where we adopted her just said "Dobermann & Unknown mix".
She always seemed small for a Dobermann, and she has a lot of energetic movements like a smaller dog, terrier, etc.
Henrietta is almost 11 months old (feb 9th) and 48lbs. - small for a Dobermann based on what we have seen/read.

    Question about Lucy:
If you don't play with Lucy for a while and she get's wound up, and you are maybe trying to talk with some guests or watch TV will she just launch at your head or the top of the couch behind you?  does she like to play bite/lick hair on the back of your head?
Henri does these things, but more when she was younger, and now I play with her at least 3 times a day plus a walk.
She also gets more wound up, more likely to do that at 7pm

Hmmm...the similarities continue. [:D] Lucy LOVES to chew on hair. It's probably a bad habit, but she will perch on the back of the couch and bite big mouthfuls of my hair like it's a rope toy. It's one of her favorite past times. Basically, if she chews on your hair, you know she likes you.

She actually has always mellowed out at night, usually snuggles under a blanket when it gets dark and sleeps until the next morning. But she is busy with hiking and agility, so it makes sense.

I can definitely see the Doberman in Henrietta. But she also looks like an oversized Min Pin (obviously). Whatever she may be...she is darling! I am partial to the "eyebrows" and floppy ears. [;)]

    Wow, that is funny.
Henri will jump up and around our necks as we say like a "mink stole" wrap herself around us and also play bite and lick our hair.

    And more simuliarities.
At night, as in bedtime, Henri also sleeps very well, all night long she is perfectly well behaved since we got her at 4 months old.
She sleeps in our bed, usually between us, and about 1/2 the time or more, under our blankets - head and all.
most of the time she likes to stay up closer toward our heads and snuggle her back against me and the feet against my wife.
I think she gets hot and comes out for a while, only to wake me up to let her "you want to get under" again.
Our previous dog would get under the blankets, but she would tunnel down to the foot of the bed and stick her head/snoot out the end for fresh air.
I wonder how Henri does not run out of air under there, and I get concerned and open up the blanket a few times during the night to give her fresh air. I know if I stick my head under the blanket for more than 10 minutes, I get too hot/need fresh air. I had to try it because she is under there soooo long at times. and I don't think I have done that since being a kid. funny how a pup will make you do odd things again like when you were a kid.

Henri just acts like a smaller breed or something. kinda qwerky, kinda silly and fun. even at almost 11 months. a lot of paw play, stiff funny head movements and sudden fast moves when playing, normally and when worn out, she will be mellow. the vet from the humaine shelter said, "Henrietta never settles" but we never saw that. and while she is qwerky, funny and has a lot of personaility, she does act sweet and settled down more than half the time she is awake. if she starts getting play bitiing, or hyper, we just play with her than she either looks out the window, lays quiet or sleeps.
