Lenny and Cole have an Argument!

Liz, I know it's rude to ask someone their weight... but, i'm curious, how much do the boys weigh now?? [:D]
    • Gold Top Dog
Well, Cole just went to the vet Wednesday and weighed in at 12.6 pounds.  [sm=eek.gif]

Lenny is around 15 or so, but that's just a guess.  He's pretty long and lean though, where Cole is more stocky/chunky/puppy fat.  Like today, we went to the dog park, and Lenny chased after any dog there, running full out.  Cole, eeh, just hung out by my feet.  [:D]

Those are sooooo cute!! I needed a Lenny fix, and I got a bonus of Cole too![:D]

I bet Nikki and Lenny would be BEST FRIENDS.  I can just feel it, they would totally dig each other!  Hahaha, and Cole and Missy could hang out with us, while the other two ran their tails off [:D]  I sooo wish I could set a playdate with you guys!

So, how big do you think Cole is going to get?  Any estimates?
    • Gold Top Dog
Oh, wouldn't that be awesome!  That settles it, I'm going to Hawaii for vacation!  [:)]

I took them for a walk today along a bike/walk path and they were stars!  It seemed like everybody wanted to meet them and give them loving.  It was cool, but really weird.

My guess is that Cole will wind up being about 25 pounds - Lenny, maybe 18-20 if he ever fills out.

Does Nikki like to run?  If so, she has a buddy in Lenny for sure - he likes nothing better than to tuck butt and run after something, anything!

    So cute!!

Which is the dog with the white tipped hindpaws? Do you know what mix or breed he is? He looks EXACTLY like my dog except she is brindle not black, in terms of body type.

That one is Lenny - he is about 10.5 months.  He was a JRT/Doxie mix that I got at 8 weeks from the humane society.  The other one is Cole, found on Petfinder at 7 weeks.

Do you have pics of your pup?  I'd love to see her!

    Here she is

People have told me she looks like she has doxie in her, cause of the face and the length of her body/tucked up belly. But she also has more girth so I think she has plott hound or possibly pittie. She is a clumsy and always-hyper 35 lbs and still thinks she is a lap dog.

BTW I love your captions haha!

Her body just seems so long, I'd peg her as having some doxie (people have said whippet but I think she is too muscular)

Liz, it must be that JRT that Nikki and Lenny have in common.  Nikki can run faster than dogs twice her size... and she can keep up with my horse on rides.  I'm sure Lenny would be able to do the same.  Yes, you need to bring those pups on vacation to Hawaii -- I think our two little black JRT mixes would finally meet their match [:D]  Nikki is full grown at 10.6 lbs.  She may fill out to about 11 or 12, but that'll be it.  She's little, but I'm confident she's not concerned about her size being a disadvantage, she'd be THRILLED to have Lenny around.... make sure you note that somewhere [8|] (j/k!)

Aww that brindle baby is adorable!

I Like the wrestling match  it felt like I was there  with Ring side seats loved it!!!

Aw, she's so pretty!  I love her brindle markings, and I definitely see the doxie in her!

Nikki and Lenny, yay!  Hey, there isn't a quarantine to take dogs to Hawaii, is there?  I bet they would be awesome running buddies!  My friend dogsat Lenny when he was about 3 months old and took him to a ranch to see the sites.  He got his first horse sighting then - was very interested, but a little scared.  (Poor thing.)  He's gotten a lot more confidence now.  :)
