Introducing Flapjack!

    Introducing Flapjack!

I posted about Flapjack in Anything & Everything.  He is a 12+ yr old beagle (mostly deaf) I adopted from the shelter last week.  He evidently spent his whole life chained outside judging from the fact that the metal loop on his collar was worn completely through, coupled with the fact that he didn't seem to have a clue what a door was for (or stairs, or windows).   He came in as a stray, and I couldn't bear to think of him not having a warm bed to lay on and a forever home to retire to.
He is fitting in great with the other dogs, and is adapting to inside life quickly.  His marking inside is lessening by the day, and he loves to curl up in his bed.  He still has lots of energy for an "old man", and loves to play the chase game with me.  I posted a smiling picture of him on the "Smile" thread, and here are a couple others.  It isn't easy to take good pictures of him, as he doesn't really get more than a foot or so away from me!

What a handsome fella!  He looks so sweet and lovable.  And with a name like that, I could just eat him up!  Thanks for giving him a forever home to retire at, I'm glad that he'll have such a great place to live for the rest of his lifetime.

I'm going to cry. I'm soooo happy for Master Flapjack. I think he's figured out that he has hit the doggie lottery judging by his smile picture. What a sweet face. I just want to kiss his forehead. What do you think he's dreaming about when he's curled up in his comfy bed?

You are definately an angel taking in Flapjack and giving him a warm, comfortable loving home.  Why does it never cease to amaze me how cruel some people can be.

I am sure he is just in heaven.  Hats off to you!!!

Ah.... Bless you for adopting Flapjack and getting him out of the shelter. [:)]  He looks like such a sweet and happy boy.  I'm sure if he could talk, he would "Thank You" for giving him a forever home. He looks so comfortable on that nice dog bed you gave him and he so deserves a good home like you are giving him.
